Pay Rate: $25.00 an hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source, pre-screen, and evaluate qualified candidates for casino, hotel, and operational positions across the property
  • Guide applicants through every step of the hiring process. From first contact and interviews to contingent job offers, pre-employment screenings, and orientation setup
  • Identify and build local recruitment channels using social media, digital job boards, high schools, trade schools, colleges, and community organizations, etc.
  • Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino at internal and external job fairs, community outreach events, and campus recruitment efforts
  • Be future-focused by building strong relationships with department managers to understand and plan for their ongoing and future staffing needs
  • Help train and coach management teams on effective, objective interview techniques and fair hiring practices
  • Deliver exceptional service to job applicants and internal team members, matching the high guest service standards expected across the property
  • Maintain accurate candidate records, job postings, and applicant statuses within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Ensure all hiring and recruitment activities strictly adhere to Native Preference policies, Tribal Gaming regulations, Tribal policies, federal laws, and any state laws formally adopted by The Tribe

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, or human resources experience, preferably in hospitality, gaming, or high-volume staffing
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and be able to travel to off-site recruitment events regularly

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrates strong typing skills with accuracy and efficiency when entering and maintaining information in computer systems
  • Accurate, highly organized, and able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong guest-service mindset
  • Solid problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully with individuals at all levels of the organization

Preferred

  • Experience using UKG Pro (specifically the Recruiting and Onboarding modules) or similar HRIS/ATS platforms

  • Treasure Island Guest Service & Culture Training
  • Human Resources Systems & ATS Training (UKG Pro Recruiting & Onboarding)
  • TIPS Alcohol Awareness / Responsible Beverage Service Training
  • Tribal Gaming Licensing & Regulatory Compliance Orientation
  • Fair Hiring, Structured Interviewing, and Objective Evaluation Training
  • Any additional position-related or regulatory training as determined by HR Leadership

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time with moderate amounts walking and standing
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
  • Must have the ability to independently lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed primarily in administration building but may include going onto the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke, and outdoors for team member events
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Extensive computer use
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • High volume direct public contact
