About This Role
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Grand Rapids, MI. In this role, you will own the full-cycle recruiting and onboarding process for hourly manufacturing, salaried, and management-level positions across our U.S. operations. As our Talent Acquisition Specialist you'll partner closely with hiring managers and company leadership to attract, evaluate, hire, and onboard qualified candidates while delivering a positive candidate experience.
What You'll Do
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, salary expectations, and desired skills.
- Create and manage job postings across online forums, social media platforms, and recruitment channels to promote GNS North America’s employment brand.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for alignment with role requirements, skills, and company values.
- Prepare candidate summaries and recommendations for hiring managers.
- Coordinate interviews, extend offers, and support a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Manage pre-employment requirements, including reference checks, background checks, drug/alcohol screens, and physicals as needed.
- Provide excellent service and timely communication to candidates, hiring managers, and HR partners.
- Deliver recruitment consultation and market insight to support successful hiring outcomes.
- Support employment branding, referral program promotion, staffing agency partnerships, and contingent workforce initiatives.
- Maintain accurate recruiting documentation and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local hiring regulations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field of study, and 3 years of experience in a dedicated talent acquisition or onboarding role. Equivalent combinations of training and experience may be considered.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating and conducting virtual and in-person interviews.
- Knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and hiring compliance guidelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus as needed.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with hiring managers at all levels of the organization.
Where You'll Work
This position is primarily based in our downtown Grand Rapids office. We have production facilities in Holland, MI and Canton, MI and you may travel to those locations 10% - 15% of the time. When in our production facilities, you may occasionally work near moving parts and in areas with increased noise levels.
