Position: Talent Acquisition Partner
Location: Glen Arbor / Hybrid
Summary: The Talent Acquisition Partner is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment for Cherry Republic’s year-round full-time and part-time workforce, including professional, management, and leadership roles, as well as recruitment for interns and international employees. This role owns its defined lane of recruitment end-to-end, from workforce planning through offer, and serves as the primary ATS administrator for all roles within that lane. The Talent Acquisition Partner acts as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, partners closely with the broader HR team, and contributes to a consistent, high-quality recruiting practice across the department. This position does not carry direct supervisory authority but is expected to share knowledge, support team continuity, and help strengthen recruiting standards across the talent function.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for year-round full-time, part-time, professional, management, and leadership roles, as well as interns and international visa programs.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers: partner on workforce planning, staffing strategy, and candidate selection to ensure quality-of-hire and alignment with Cherry Republic’s core values.
  • Prepare and sign offer letters and job descriptions for approved roles within established compensation parameters. New roles and significant changes require HR Director review and approval.
  • Own ATS administration for all roles in your recruitment lane: job postings, system configuration, reporting, compliance, and hiring manager training. Provide cross-coverage for the seasonal recruitment lane when needed.
  • Contribute to a consistent, high-quality recruiting practice across the talent team; share knowledge, document processes, and support the onboarding of new team members.
  • Lead recruitment campaigns and process improvement initiatives; provide recruiting metrics and insights to HR leadership.
  • Conduct exit interviews with full-time and professional staff.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with external recruiting partners.
  • Represent Cherry Republic at job fairs, community events, and as a responsive resource for employee and manager questions related to the talent process.
  • Support seasonal programs during peak periods, assist with administrative onboarding as needed, and adapt to other projects or responsibilities that support the HR team or the company’s business needs.

  • Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline with 3–5 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in a full life-cycle environment. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support peer development. Strong project management and decision-making skills.
  • Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Spanish language skills are a perk!
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to calculate numbers and patterns when analyzing data.
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to communicate issues accurately and thoroughly to customers and staff.
  • Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, you should have knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows. Strong Excel skills preferred. Previous experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS) required.
  • Location & Travel – Regular on-site presence across Cherry Republic locations expected, including Glen Arbor, Empire, Traverse City, and other Northern Michigan sites as needed. Occasional travel to Southern Michigan locations (Frankenmuth, Ann Arbor, and Holland) may be required. This role is not eligible for fully remote work.
  • Physical Requirements – This is a position that requires periods of time working in a stationary position 50% of the time. Use of computer, laptop, and other office equipment with close-range visual focus. Other standard office equipment such as scanner, phone, keyboard, and monitor. 50% of the time on foot, working in public venues during job fairs, onboarding, and other promotional events. Ability to lift 40 lbs., including recruitment fixtures: set up and tear down.
