What You'll Do as a Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and screening candidates to coordinating interviews, extending offers, and supporting new hires.
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to understand staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and identify the right candidates for positions across the organization.
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for production, professional, and leadership roles.
- Create compelling job postings and manage recruitment advertising to reach the right candidates through multiple channels.
- Conduct phone screenings and interviews, coordinate hiring decisions, and guide candidates through a positive recruitment experience.
- Build relationships with staffing agencies, community partners, and prospective candidates while representing Direct Wire & Cable at job fairs and hiring events.
- Lead new hire orientation and onboarding activities to help employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected from day one.
- Maintain compliant hiring practices while identifying opportunities to improve recruiting processes and strengthen the company's talent pipeline.
Our Ideal Talent Acquisition Specialist
- Experienced Recruiter: At least 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with proven success sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates across multiple position levels.
- Strategic Sourcer: Know how to develop effective recruiting strategies, find qualified candidates through multiple channels, and build a strong talent pipeline.
- Confident Communicator: Connect naturally with everyone from production employees to executive leaders, with strong interviewing, relationship-building, and public speaking skills.
- Organized & Adaptable: Manage multiple open positions, competing priorities, and changing hiring needs while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy Professional: Work confidently with Microsoft Office Suite; a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is strongly preferred, while manufacturing recruiting experience and SHRM or talent acquisition certification are pluses.
- Values-Driven Teammate: Demonstrate integrity, respect, initiative, and a genuine commitment to doing great work, serving others well, and contributing to a positive team culture.
