Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the full-cycle recruitment process for Pegasus Residential, partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership to identify, attract, interview, and hire top talent across our organization.
This role is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys building relationships, sourcing great candidates, staying organized, and finding creative ways to connect with talent. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will recruit for a variety of positions across property management, corporate, maintenance, leasing, sales, and leadership.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, highly organized, proactive, and passionate about creating a positive candidate experience from the first conversation through the hiring process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from job intake through offer and acceptance.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, position requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
- Assist with hiring manager trainings and conference.
- Conduct recruiter screens and assess candidates based on experience, skills, culture fit, and position requirements.
- Source active and passive candidates through LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, networking, referrals, job fairs, career events, and other recruiting channels.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers and ensure a smooth, professional candidate experience.
- Provide hiring managers with candidate resumes, interview notes, assessments, and recommendations.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and maintain timely follow-up.
- Assist with creating and posting compelling job descriptions and employment advertisements.
- Utilize the ATS to maintain accurate candidate and requisition information and ensure recruiting activity is documented.
- Track recruiting activity, pipeline health, time-to-fill, sourcing effectiveness, and other Talent Acquisition metrics.
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team on recruiting strategies for challenging or high-volume positions.
- Attend and represent Pegasus at career fairs, networking events, college recruiting events, and industry events.
- Develop relationships with schools, professional organizations, industry groups, and other talent sources.
- Support employee referral and employer branding initiatives.
- Stay current on recruiting trends, sourcing strategies, and talent market conditions.
- Help promote Pegasus Residential as an employer of choice through candidate engagement and recruiting events.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling candidate and employee information.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Talent Acquisition.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruiting or Talent Acquisition experience preferred.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting preferred.
- Experience recruiting within property management, real estate, hospitality, retail, or a related industry is a plus.
- Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable working with ATS and recruiting technology.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to build strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented approach.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
