The Talent Acquisition Coordinator (8 month contract) will play an important part in the large-scale recruitment and onboarding processes for Instructors, Teaching Assistants and Youth Experience Coordinators for our academic Pre-University Summer Camps offered in 15+ cities in North America from June to August 2027. Our Talent team will be responsible for filling up to 200 temporary roles.
Note: This role will based full-time (5 days per week) in our Circuit Stream office, 1011, 1st Street SW. This is an 8-month temporary full-time employment contract from December 1, 2026. to July 31, 2027.
What You’re Responsible For
- Candidate pipelines: Review and shortlist applicants across specified roles and locations, and proactively source candidates when pipelines need strengthening.
- Screening and candidate experience: Conduct structured screening interviews, write clear summaries, maintain accurate ATS records, and keep candidates informed throughout the process.
- Interview coordination: Arrange 2nd interviews with Education team colleagues, track decisions and follow-ups, and flag staffing gaps or delays against the hiring plan weekly.
- Onboarding readiness: Coordinate required background checks, system access, and orientation arrangements so hires are prepared by their agreed start dates.
- Recruitment administration: Prepare and track Canadian work-integrated learning grant applications, repost jobs as needed across multiple platforms, maintain supporting documentation, and contribute to improvements in seasonal hiring processes.
What Success Looks Like
- Hiring milestones are met across assigned roles and locations, with pipeline gaps identified early and addressed through targeted sourcing.
- Qualified candidates move through screening and interview stages within agreed turnaround times.
- Interview summaries and ATS records are complete and accurate to support hiring decisions.
- Candidates receive timely updates and understand their next steps throughout recruitment and onboarding.
- Required onboarding items are completed by agreed deadlines, with outstanding items escalated before they affect program readiness.
- Grant applications and supporting documentation are submitted accurately and on time.
- Talent team and Education team leaders have a reliable weekly view of your candidates and interview progress, upcoming deadlines, and staffing risks using our reporting templates.
What We're Looking For
- Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or similar.
- 2-3 years' experience in talent acquisition (preference given to candidates with previous recruitment agency experience).
- Experience with high-volume recruitment for professional roles (in tech, business, education, etc).
- Experience with university recruitment for Co-op and summer student roles.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Previous experience conducting screening interviews, writing interview summaries, connecting with hiring managers, conducting reference checks, setting up new hire workflows, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work at a fast pace, juggling multiple concurrent priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work full-time from December to July, fully on-site at our office.
