Position Summary
As a Junior Recruiter at Nemacolin, you will build relationships with exceptional candidates, strengthen talent pipelines, and connect high-caliber professionals with opportunities across the resort. From proactive sourcing and nationwide recruitment events to thoughtful onboarding and early-career engagement, your work directly influences the people who deliver extraordinary guest experiences. This is an opportunity to combine recruitment expertise, hospitality, and relationship-building while contributing to a culture where exceptional talent can build a meaningful career.
What You Will Create
- Build a strong, continuous talent pipeline by developing proactive sourcing strategies across the applicant tracking system, external recruiting platforms, social media, career fairs, community events, and other channels that connect Nemacolin with qualified candidates
- Strengthen the quality of the workforce by identifying candidates whose capabilities, professionalism, and service mindset align with the standards of a luxury hospitality environment
- Expand recruitment reach beyond the region through travel to in-state and out-of-state career fairs and recruitment events, cultivating relationships and talent pipelines for interns, externs, apprentices, and other emerging hospitality professionals
- Influence internal career mobility by supporting transfer and promotion processes that identify high-potential talent and create meaningful opportunities for associates to grow within the organization
- Partner closely with department leaders to anticipate staffing needs, understand annual staffing guidelines, and ensure recruiting strategies remain aligned with operational priorities
- Create a polished candidate-to-associate experience by guiding candidates through offers, pre-employment screenings, background checks, orientation scheduling, new-hire documentation, and other onboarding requirements with precision, responsiveness, and professionalism
- Extend the onboarding experience beyond the first day by maintaining meaningful contact with new hires throughout their first 90 days, helping establish connection, confidence, and a strong foundation for success
- Represent Nemacolin with energy and credibility at recruitment events, meetings, presentations, and community engagements, communicating the resort’s values, mission, career opportunities, and culture in a way that inspires candidates to choose Nemacolin as an employer of choice
- Bring structure and follow-through to complex priorities by coordinating meetings, gathering and organizing information, preparing presentation materials, drafting correspondence and acknowledgment letters, and advancing projects to successful completion, often under demanding deadlines
- Support executive effectiveness through exceptional administrative coordination, including management of highly active calendars, confidential correspondence, detailed travel arrangements, itineraries, agendas, and meeting-related materials
- Protect the integrity of sensitive information through sound judgment, discretion, tact, and strict confidentiality when working with candidates, associates, business contacts, and leadership
- Maintain a high standard of operational precision through effective use of office equipment, Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat, and other required computer systems and applications
What You Can Expect
- A dynamic luxury hospitality environment where recruitment directly influences the guest experience and the quality of the associate community
- A highly relationship-driven role with meaningful interaction across all levels of associates, candidates, department leaders, business contacts, and community partners
- A fast-paced setting where priorities can shift quickly and success depends on your ability to remain composed, organized, responsive, and solutions-oriented
- Opportunities to represent Nemacolin beyond the resort through recurring travel to recruitment events and career fairs across Pennsylvania and other markets
- A role that blends strategic talent sourcing, candidate engagement, hospitality, administrative coordination, and relationship management rather than limiting you to a traditional recruiting function
- Frequent exposure to confidential information and sensitive employment matters, requiring a consistently polished presence and thoughtful professional judgment
- An environment where detailed follow-through matters — from a candidate’s first interaction through their first 90 days as a new associate
- The opportunity to develop deeper expertise in hospitality recruiting, employment practices, behavioral interviewing, candidate engagement, and talent development while building relationships across the organization
What You Bring
- You are naturally outgoing and energized by meeting new people, building relationships, and creating genuine connections
- You communicate with confidence and polish, whether speaking with a prospective candidate, partnering with a department leader, representing Nemacolin at a career fair, or preparing confidential written correspondence
- You know how to tell a compelling story about an organization, connecting candidates with its values, mission, opportunities, and culture in a way that inspires action
- You bring exceptional organization and time-management skills, allowing you to navigate competing priorities, short-term deadlines, long-term projects, and unexpected changes without losing attention to detail
- You approach recruiting with curiosity and initiative, continually looking for stronger sourcing strategies, new talent markets, and more effective ways to build a qualified pipeline
- You exercise sound judgment when working independently, particularly when managing sensitive information, making decisions, prioritizing administrative matters, or resolving complex problems
- You are comfortable operating under pressure while maintaining composure, professionalism, confidentiality, and a high level of service
- You take ownership from beginning to end, initiating assignments, following through on commitments, and ensuring important details do not get lost in a busy environment
- You understand that recruitment is hospitality. Every interaction is an opportunity to create a positive experience and strengthen the reputation of Nemacolin as an employer of choice
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of two years of experience in recruiting, customer service, or a related capacity
- Strong understanding of hospitality industry practices preferred
- Working knowledge of employment law and behavioral interviewing techniques
- Demonstrated ability to conduct effective phone and in-person interviews
- Ability to travel multiple times per year to recruitment events and career fairs, including in-state and out-of-state travel
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to type approximately 45 to 65 words per minute
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions
- Ability to review, comprehend, compose, type, route, and file business correspondence and documentation
- Ability to operate required office equipment effectively and efficiently
