About the Foster Parent Recruitment Specialist

The Foster Parent Recruitment Specialist will be a resource for potential families to guide them through the training and paperwork process of becoming licensed, using various technologies and quality control measures to ensure all foster families meet the company's high standards and are "on-call" on a rotation basis.

While this is a remote position, you MUST reside in Virginia.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in human services, marketing or communication from an accredited college is preferred, however, having a minimum of 3 years of experience working in child welfare will be considered.
  • Must possess a valid VA state driver's license as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective foster parents, promptly responding to inquiries and guiding families throughout the recruitment process.
  • Screen and engage prospective foster families to ensure they meet baseline foster care requirements while maintaining consistent follow-up.
  • Support families through the licensing process, including training and informational sessions, required paperwork, home studies, and preparation for certification.
  • Recruit prospective foster parents through community outreach, marketing, referrals, and other recruitment strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of prospective families, contacts, and next steps using CRM and electronic record systems such as HubSpot and Extended Reach.
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to develop and implement effective recruitment strategies while ensuring licensing activities meet applicable contractual requirements.
