The People Team at HarperCollins Publishers leadsourpeoplestrategyand recruitment across North America.Weare seeking aCoordinator, People&Recruitingto supporttheVice President,PeopleandtheTalent Acquisitionteam,primarily focused on HarperCollins Christian Publishing (HCCP)withthe flexibility to support HarperCollins Publishers as business needs evolve. Thisrole will coordinatePeople teamprocesses, recruitment,andonboarding whilesupportingemployees, candidates, hiring managers, and Peopleteam partners.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with employees, candidates, hiring managers,Peoplepartners, and cross-functional teams through responsive communication and reliable follow-through.

PeopleProcess Support

  • Provide administrative and project coordination support to the Vice President, People across the employee lifecycle, including preparing andmaintainingdocumentation, coordinating meetings and timelines, and tracking follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate recurringPeople processes and initiatives, including performance management, talent planning, employee engagement, organization changes, and other divisional Peopleteam priorities.
  • Support employee relations and performance management processes by coordinating meetings,maintainingaccurateand confidential documentation, and tracking required actions and deadlines under the direction of the Vice President, People.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions, connect stakeholders with theappropriate Peopleteam resources, and escalate sensitive or complex matters promptly.
  • Handle sensitive employee and business information with professionalism, discretion, and strict confidentiality.

Recruitment

  • Create and postopen roleson company career pages, LinkedIn, and relevant industry-specificjob boards.
  • Coordinate complex, high-volume interview schedules across multiple stakeholders, balancing competing calendars and priorities and managing onsitelogisticsas needed to deliver a seamless candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Providetimelyupdates and feedback to candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws throughout the recruitment process.
  • Prepare and track offer letters and other new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate all operational aspects of HCCP campus recruiting and internship programs, including eventlogistics,catering,technology setup, program materials, onboarding, and stakeholder communications.
  • Manage the team’s shared inbox in collaboration with the New York-based coordinator, ensuring inquiries are routed appropriately and addressedin a timely manner.
  • Track all aspects of the recruitment process, including referral management.

Onboarding

  • Oversee the onboarding process for full-time employees and interns, including background checks,requireddocumentation, pre-start preparations (equipment, systems access, workspace setup, and security access), and orientation.
  • Act as a point of contact for new hires and hiring managers, addressing any questions or concerns they may have during their onboarding period.
  • Provide support to new employees in navigating company systems, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience supporting human resources processes, recruitment coordination, onboarding, or a related function.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite and applicant tracking systems (ATS); preferably ICIMS.
  • Strong administrative and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage detailed workflows accurately and consistently.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task/prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the judgment toidentifyinefficiencies, recommend improvements, and support effective implementation.
