About Vega

The $250B insurance claims industry runs on fax machines, phone tag, and adjusters buried in paperwork. Cycle times stretch for months. Data is locked in legacy systems. And the workforce is aging out faster than it's being replaced.

Vega is the premier AI-native Claims Third Party Administrator built to reimagine that entire stack from the ground up. Our team is equal parts experienced insurance operators and modern technologists. We care deeply about delivering superior outcomes for our clients, and we want builders that get their hands dirty shipping solutions that move the needle.

Our results: 10x YoY revenue growth, and on track for $XXM run-rate in under 2 years. Backed by marquee VCs like General Catalyst, Lightspeed, and Valor.

About the role

As Vega's Claims organization scales, we're looking for a Claims Recruiting Lead to lead and develop our small but mighty team of three and build the recruiting function needed to support our growth.

You'll own the strategy and execution of Claims hiring, partnering closely with Claims leadership to anticipate workforce needs, map the talent market, and build scalable recruiting processes. You'll also coach the team, strengthen its technical expertise in the claims domain, and raise the bar on recruiting performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance team development and strategic planning with strong recruiting execution—building the talent function while helping the team deliver results today.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three, strengthening their recruiting capabilities and technical expertise across the claims domain
  • Own Claims recruiting strategy and outcomes, partnering with Claims leadership to translate business needs into hiring plans and priorities
  • Oversee full-cycle recruiting for Claims roles, from sourcing and screening through offer negotiation and close, with a focus on hiring quality and speed
  • Build pipelines of qualified adjusters across Property, Auto, General Liability, Total Loss, and other relevant lines of business through proactive sourcing, industry networks, and talent mapping
  • Use market research and talent intelligence to anticipate hiring needs, understand talent availability, and inform sourcing strategies
  • Build and improve the recruiting engine through repeatable workflows, strong candidate engagement, data-driven processes, and effective use of Ashby, AI tools, and automation
  • Manage recruiting performance across the team, using hiring metrics and market insights to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and deliver against hiring goals

What You'll Bring

  • 5–7+ years of full-cycle claims technical recruiting experience, ideally with 2+ years at an early-stage company (Series A–C) where you built or improved recruiting processes.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, or developing recruiters, with the ability to strengthen team performance and build domain expertise.
  • Strong market research and talent mapping skills, with the ability to build pipelines ahead of immediate hiring needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence hiring managers and deliver a strong candidate experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • A proactive, resourceful mindset and interest in building scalable recruiting processes in a lean team.
  • Nice to Haves
  • An established network of claims adjusters or familiarity with adjuster licensing and certifications.
  • Ideally fluency in our core stack: Ashby, Juicebox, LinkedIn Recruiter, ZipRecruiter, and Notion.

Benefits

  • Competitive Salary
  • Equity - giving you direct stake in the future of an AI-native industry leader.
  • Top-tier medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401k with company match.
  • Flexible PTO and a work from home stipend.
  • A fast-paced, high-talent density team that values transparency and shipping fast.
