Position Summary
The Technical Recruiter is the face and voice of Anchor Mission Critical to candidates. This role runs full-cycle recruiting for commissioning engineers, leads, controls, QA/QC, and project managers — conducting initial interviews and professional screens, explaining our benefits and policies, and guiding candidates through every stage to offer.
Recruiters at Anchor do all three parts of the work: recruit, source, and coordinate. You partner with the Talent Coordinator on schedules that line up with technical and executive interviews, partner with the Talent Sourcer on lead quality, and give feedback to the Talent leader on what is working and what needs to change.
Commissioning (Cx) experience is highly recommended. Candidates who have recruited, sourced, or supported hiring for data center commissioning, MEP, or other mission-critical work will stand out.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial interviews and structured professional screens against Anchor JDs, grade levels, and the Anchor Mission Critical Playbook
- Be the candidate’s main point of contact: explain the role, Anchor’s benefits and policies, travel expectations, and the interview process
- Work with the Talent Coordinator to align schedules with technical interviewers, executive assessments, and C-level finals
- Source directly on LinkedIn, Indeed, and niche channels in addition to leads from the Talent Sourcer
- Write clear candidate summaries and evaluation memos for technical interviewers and leadership
- Manage candidates through TriNet from application to offer; keep stages, notes, and dispositions current
- Support offer preparation within Anchor’s grade and pay-band framework; close candidates and hand off to onboarding
- Send timely, respectful non-select communication
- Give regular feedback to sourcers and the Talent leader on lead quality, process gaps, and improvements
- Track and report pipeline health, time-to-fill, and source effectiveness for assigned reqs
How We Work — The Anchor Standard
Every Anchor role is measured against the same standard. In this role, that means:
- Own outcomes together: You own the candidate from first call to Day 1 — and you own the hand-offs with sourcing, coordination, and the technical team.
- Hold the line under pressure: Screen to the standard even when the plan is behind. One right hire beats two wrong ones.
- Follow the process even when it’s harder: Every candidate gets the same structured screen, the same information, and the same respect.
Competencies
- Confident, credible communicator with engineers and field technicians
- Understands commissioning work well enough to screen it: L1–L5 testing, IST, MV/LV, UPS, generators, chilled water, BMS/EPMS
- Structured interviewing and clear written evaluation
- Sourcing skill (Boolean, LinkedIn, Indeed) and disciplined ATS hygiene
- Organized and responsive in a high-volume, fast-moving hiring plan
Education & Experience Requirements
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent, or military experience; associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
- 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting, including technical, engineering, or skilled-trade roles
- Experience with an ATS (TriNet Hire or similar)
Preferred
- Commissioning (Cx) experience — highly recommended
- Recruiting for data center, commissioning, electrical/mechanical contracting, energy, or construction
- National recruiting for travel-heavy field roles
- Military recruiting experience
Certifications (Preferred)
- LinkedIn Certified Professional – Recruiter, AIRS, SHRM-CP, or PHR
Performance Expectations
- Hires on plan for assigned requisitions
- Qualified slates within two weeks of req open
- Interview-to-offer and offer-accept rates at or above target
- Clean, current TriNet data on every active requisition
- Positive candidate, technical-interviewer, and hiring-manager feedback
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 per year (salaried), based on experience and skills
- Medical coverage starting day one; Anchor pays 75% of the employee premium
- Dental and vision; Anchor pays 100% of the employee premium
- Life insurance at 2× base salary, plus employer-paid short- and long-term disability
- 401(k) eligible after 30 days, with a 4% company contribution
- Paid time off: 24 days (192 hours) per year, accrued from day one; year-end balance above 80 hours is bought back
- Anchor does not use a fixed paid-holiday calendar — you use your PTO for the days that matter to you
- Sick leave: 40 hours per year; bereavement leave provided

About Anchor Mission Critical
Anchor Mission Critical is a professional services firm purpose-built to support hyperscale and high-reliability infrastructure projects. Anchor Mission Critical provides commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), QA/QC, and operational readiness services for data centers and other no-fail environments.
Anchor Mission Critical was founded to address a persistent industry challenge: as data center projects grow in scale and complexity, execution quality too often depends on heroics rather than disciplined systems. The Anchor Mission Critical Playbook establishes a standardized delivery framework built on readiness, risk prevention, and repeatable execution — allowing teams to perform at a high level without chaos.
At Anchor Mission Critical, commissioning is engaged early and treated as a leadership function, not a back-end checkbox. Our teams operate with clear delivery cadence, defined readiness gates, and transparent issue management so professionals can focus on doing the work right – first time. Anchor Mission Critical supports both technical and leadership career paths and offers the opportunity to help build durable standards, mentor teams, and grow with a firm designed for scale without bureaucracy.
