About the role

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Supervisor to join the Côté Gold team, reporting to the HR Manager. This role provides strategic leadership for the full talent acquisition lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employment branding, and talent acquisition policy administration. The Talent Acquisition Supervisor leads and develops recruitment processes and practices that enable the organization to attract, assess, and secure top talent, while providing guidance and support to employees and hiring managers to ensure consistent and effective hiring decisions.

In support of IAMGOLD’s purpose and values, this role plays a key part in building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workforce by developing talent attraction strategies, strengthening relationships with educational institutions, community partners, and industry networks, and creating sustainable talent pipelines for current and future business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of talent acquisition strategies that attract, engage, and retain qualified talent to support current and future workforce requirements.
  • Supervise the full talent acquisition lifecycle, including sourcing, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and candidate experience, ensuring efficient, compliant, and positive outcomes for candidates, hiring leaders, and new employees.
  • Provide governance, administration, and continuous improvement of talent acquisition policies, programs, and processes, including recruitment standards, the employee referral program, onboarding practices, and search firm partnerships.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify workforce needs, anticipate capability gaps, and develop proactive talent pipelines and recruitment plans aligned with operational and strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze recruitment metrics, labour market trends, and workforce data to identify risks, barriers, and opportunities, providing recommendations and implementing actions that improve hiring outcomes, recruitment efficiency, and workforce readiness.
  • Lead employment branding and talent attraction initiatives that strengthen IAMGOLD’s reputation as an employer of choice and support the attraction of skilled talent through community engagement, educational partnerships, digital recruitment strategies, and industry networking.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Indigenous communities, educational institutions, industry organizations, workforce development agencies, and community stakeholders to create sustainable talent pipelines and support long-term workforce readiness.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders by providing guidance on talent acquisition strategies, recruitment best practices, workforce planning, and labour market conditions and emerging talent trends.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop Talent Acquisition team members, ensuring high-quality service delivery, consistent application of policies and practices, accountability to performance measures, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Knowledge

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources/Social Sciences/Business or equivalent experience.

Relevant Experience

  • 8 years of talent acquisition experience with at least 1 year of leadership experience.
  • Experience in the mining/natural resource industry or construction/engineering is an asset.
