Job Summary

This role will play a critical role in identifying, hiring, and executing the company’s talent acquisition strategy with a focus on hiring talent across all departments at Van Wall Equipment’s 36 Midwest locations. Additionally, this role will lead the company’s campus recruiting efforts with an emphasis on precision technology undergraduate hires. Time will also be spent building and maintaining relationships with universities, leading the internal referral program, and supporting other project-based work within the Talent Acquisition team.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Partner with company hiring managers on full-cycle recruiting for positions across all Van Wall locations (recruitment marketing, resume review, phone screens, interviews, offer development/acceptance reference, checks, etc.) as assigned
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other sourcing channels to interact with and recruit active and passive job seekers
  • Provide guidance to team members and hiring managers on best practices throughout the hiring process
  • Lead the recruitment, hiring, and employee experience for Precision Technology internship cohorts
  • Partner with university career services teams, student organizations, and other on campus partners to advance recruiting strategies towards identified goals and targets
  • Own on-campus and virtual events to educate participants on the company’s employer brand and identify talent. This includes scheduling the events, staffing, advertising, presenting information, engaging appropriate stakeholders, communications, and managing logistics
  • Schedule interviews and communication with all internal and external parties throughout the hiring process
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates selected for internships or full-time opportunities arising from campus recruiting efforts
  • Track and report candidate status using the company’s applicant tracking system and other tools
  • Coordinate onboarding items during pre-hire process
  • Improve the organization’s attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices
  • Stay abreast of policies, procedures and benefits to advise candidates as appropriate and accurately
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforce regulations with managers and conduct training
  • Any other job duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience required
  • Demonstrated record of success in sourcing candidates via LinkedIn, Indeed or other career sites
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or other related field required
  • Previous experience utilizing and managing workflow in an applicant tracking system strongly preferred
  • Interest and passion for the agricultural industry
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • General knowledge of current employment laws and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
