The Opportunity

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring qualified talent across professional, technical, manufacturing, and leadership positions. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies that support organizational growth and workforce needs.

This position will build and maintain strong candidate pipelines, promote Lanco’s employer brand and core values, and support current and future hiring needs through effective sourcing, screening, job postings, and other recruiting initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also support the growth of intern, apprenticeship, and other talent development programs to help build a strong pipeline of future talent.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, from requisition approval through onboarding, including intake meetings, candidate screening, interviews, interview coordination, offers, and candidate communications.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements, determine appropriate recruiting approaches, and ensure candidates are evaluated against established qualifications.
  • Provide hiring managers with candidate feedback, assessments, and recommendations based on position requirements and recruiting processes.
  • Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, networking, career fairs, educational institutions, trade schools, direct outreach, and other recruiting channels.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for critical, recurring, and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Develop relationships with external recruiting partners, educational institutions, and other talent sources.
  • Create, maintain, and monitor job postings and advertisements in UKG and other recruiting platforms, ensuring information is accurate and consistent with approved job descriptions.
  • Maintain and update phone screen and interview questionnaires to align with current job descriptions and position requirements.
  • Utilize UKG Recruiting and other recruiting tools to manage assigned openings, track candidate activity and hiring progress, and maintain accurate recruiting data and reporting.
  • Track and report recruiting activity and progress, including candidate pipelines, interview activity, and other applicable recruiting metrics.
  • Deliver a consistent, professional, and positive candidate experience that reflects Lanco’s culture, core values, and employment brand.
  • Support the development and growth of intern, apprenticeship, and other early-career and talent development programs, including relationships with schools, community organizations, and other talent sources.
  • Support recruitment marketing initiatives, career fairs, recruiting events, and other employment branding activities in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Manager.
  • Participate in other Talent Acquisition initiatives as assigned.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of recruiting experience
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience recruiting for manufacturing, technical, engineering, or professional positions
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and sourcing tools
  • Strong interviewing, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, stay organized, and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and follow-through throughout the recruiting process
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Experience supporting a multi-site, multi-business unit organization preferred
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Work Environment

Office-based role with controlled conditions and moderate noise. Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Compensation/Benefits

We offer a collaborative environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement. The salary range for this role is $65,000 to $80,000, with final compensation based on experience, education, skills, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) plan.
