THE ROLE

You fill MEB’s open roles from first contact to accepted offer. You recruit for field and office positions: Pipefitters, Pipelayers, Equipment Operators, Carpenters, and Skilled Laborers, as well as Project Engineers, project management, and corporate staff. You work directly with superintendents, project managers, and department leaders to understand what each role needs, and you build the candidate pipelines that keep crews staffed. You do it in English and Spanish.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

  • Full-cycle recruiting. Manage open roles from intake to accepted offer, for both field and office positions.
  • Hiring manager intake. Meet with superintendents and managers to set role requirements, timelines, and interview plans.
  • Sourcing. Find candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, trade schools, unions, workforce programs, and industry networks.
  • Screening and assessment. Interview candidates in English and Spanish, assess skills and fit, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Pipeline building. Build and maintain talent pools for high-volume craft roles before the openings hit.
  • Hiring events. Represent MEB at career fairs, hiring events, and jobsite recruiting.
  • Offers. Walk candidates through the full offer package and keep the process moving to start date.
  • Reporting. Track time to fill, source of hire, and pipeline status for every open role.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English (required)
  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience. High-volume, construction, or skilled trades recruiting preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with an ATS and sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter or Indeed
  • Comfortable working with field leaders and on active jobsites
  • Organized and accountable, able to manage a full slate of open roles at once
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites and hiring events

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office based in Hampton Roads, with regular travel to project sites, career fairs, and hiring events
  • Walk active jobsites over uneven terrain and work around heavy equipment; required PPE
  • Extended computer and phone work. Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs
