Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Senior Coordinator in our Washington, D.C. office. Reporting to the Director, Lateral Partner Recruiting and partnering closely with the Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, this role supports the firm's strategic lateral partner hiring initiatives and long-term growth objectives. The Senior Coordinator serves as a key operational partner in managing the recruiting process for senior-level attorney searches, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience while maintaining the systems, logistics, and processes that support successful hiring outcomes.
This individual collaborates extensively with Practice Group Leaders, Hiring Partners, firm leadership, candidates, search firms, and colleagues across Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Finance, Marketing and Business Development, Conflicts, and other business services teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment and excels at managing complex recruiting processes while delivering an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition and Director of Lateral Partner Recruiting to support the firm's lateral partner and senior attorney recruiting strategy and pipeline development.
- Coordinate the full candidate lifecycle, including job postings, applicant tracking system administration, interview scheduling, candidate communications, feedback collection, offer preparation, and onboarding documentation.
- Lead recruiting logistics for active searches, ensuring a seamless, organized, and inclusive experience for candidates and stakeholders.
- Serve as a point of contact for candidates, search firms, attorneys, business professionals, and other stakeholders throughout the recruiting process.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient, compliant, and well-coordinated hiring processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of lateral partner pipelines by tracking candidate activity, talent movements, search progress, and market intelligence.
- Manage key recruiting operations, including background checks, reference checks, preliminary conflicts coordination, candidate expense reimbursements, agency agreements, invoices, and recruiting records.
- Maintain accurate recruiting data and reporting, prepare presentations and hiring materials, and support workforce planning, search updates, and leadership reporting.
- Conduct market research, monitor industry trends, compile recruiting metrics, and support sourcing and talent intelligence initiatives.
- Contribute to process improvements, special projects, and operational initiatives that enhance recruiting effectiveness, efficiency, and candidate experience.
- Produce accurate, timely, and high-quality work while fostering collaborative relationships and maintaining compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
- Provide support to Talent Acquisition special projects and other recruiting pipelines as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Minimum of three years of legal recruiting experience in a law firm environment.
- Experience supporting complex attorney, partner, executive, or other professional services recruiting processes.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing applicant tracking systems such as Workday, Greenhouse, iCIMS, LawCruit, ViRecruit, or similar platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook, virtual collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and talent intelligence platforms such as Pirical Legal Professionals, Leopard Solutions, and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with senior leaders, partners, executive search professionals, and high-profile candidates while maintaining discretion, professionalism, and exceptional service standards.
- Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and professionalism in handling highly sensitive candidate, client, and firm information with the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to changing demands, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder recruiting processes within a law firm, professional services, consulting, or similarly relationship-driven environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering an exceptional, inclusive, and high-touch candidate and stakeholder experience.
- Curiosity and interest in market intelligence, talent trends, recruiting analytics, and strategic workforce planning.
- Interest in and ability to leverage emerging technologies, including generative AI tools, to enhance recruiting operations, research, workflow efficiency, and candidate experience.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and other firm business services teams.
The base annual pay range for this role is between $75,000-$90,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, and location. A full range of medical, financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position will also be offered.
