Position Overview

Gulliver Prep is seeking an exceptionally skilled, forward-thinking Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and revolutionize our recruitment strategy. Servicing over 2,200 students across grades PK-12, Gulliver Prep stands as South Florida’s premier independent private coed day school. Rooted in a century-long legacy of academic excellence, innovation, and community, our strength resides in the extraordinary faculty and staff who bring our mission to life.

In this strategic role, you will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top-tier educational leaders, instructional faculty, administrative staff, and specialized personnel. You will build robust passive candidate pipelines, elevate our employment brand, and leverage modern recruitment technologies (including LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized Applicant Tracking Systems, and educational networks) to ensure Gulliver Prep remains the employer of choice for local, national, and international talent seeking a transformative career in Miami.

Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Proactive Sourcing: Build and maintain active talent pipelines for high-demand academic disciplines, specialized learning support, and administrative leadership roles.
  • Direct Outreach: Execute targeted sourcing campaigns utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, professional educational associations, alumni networks, and university partnerships
  • Passive Candidate Engagement: Cultivate long-term relationships with premier educators and school administrators nationwide who resonate with Gulliver’s core values (Seek the Challenge, Feed Your Curiosity, Amplify the WE, Choose Generosity and Grow Into Greatness).

Full-Lifecycle Recruitment Execution

  • Division & Dept Sourcing: Manage end-to-end recruitment for all school divisions (Lower, Middle, and Upper School) as well as operational, athletic, and administrative departments.
  • Structured Selection: Design and facilitate structured, equitable, and efficient interviewing and selection processes in collaboration with Division Heads, Department Chairs, and Hiring Committees.
  • Hiring Manager Consultation: Provide consultative guidance to hiring managers on competitive compensation, candidate evaluation, interview best practices, and offer negotiation.

Employer Brand & Outreach

  • Employer Positioning: Position Gulliver Prep’s reputation as a top workplace and employer of choice within the independent school ecosystem and broader educational landscape.
  • Recruitment Marketing: Partner with the Communications team to craft compelling recruitment marketing collateral, optimize career page experience, and manage social media recruitment presence.
  • Network Representation: Represent Gulliver at regional and national education conferences, recruitment fairs and university career expos.

Technology, Analytics & Process Improvement

  • System Management: Oversee and optimize Gulliver’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring seamless candidate experiences and accurate data management.
  • Recruitment Metrics: Track key recruitment metrics (Time-to-Fill, Source of Hire, Offer Acceptance Rate, Sourcing Ratios) to measure efficacy and inform leadership decisions.
  • Modern Tech Integration: Integrate modern recruitment technology tools, AI-assisted candidate matching, and automated workflow enhancements.

  • Equitable Hiring: Embed equitable, inclusive, and anti-bias practices into every stage of the recruitment and hiring lifecycle.
  • Partnerships: Actively partner with educational organizations to ensure candidate pools reflect the diverse perspectives of our community.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in the human resource field; Educational setting is a plus!
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Certifications in HR helpful (SPHR, GPHR).
  • Experience with ADP HRIS system is a plus.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 6–8+ years of dedicated, full-lifecycle talent acquisition experience, with demonstrated experience recruiting within K-12 independent schools, charter networks, or higher education.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master's or professional HR certifications such as SHRM-SCP / SPHR preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced mastery of LinkedIn Recruiter, specialized educational job platforms, and modern ATS solutions (e.g., ADP, Veracross).
  • Network & Industry Insight: Deep understanding of the independent school calendar, hiring cycles, faculty contracting processes.
