About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Manager you will lead our end-to-end recruiting strategy and build a high-performing talent acquisition function. You will own the full hiring lifecycle, from workforce planning and sourcing through offer negotiation and onboarding handoff, all while partnering closely with hiring managers and leadership to attract top talent. Compensation for this role comprises mainly of a base salary plus eligibility for performance bonuses on successful hirings.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute NordSpace's overall talent acquisition strategy aligned with business growth goals.
  • Partner with department leads and hiring managers to support definition of role requirements.
  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and closing candidates.
  • Build and maintain a strong outbound talent pipeline through proactive sourcing and market mapping. Headhunt highly-qualified candidates in existing roles who may not be actively job searching. Do not rely on inbound applications.
  • Design and continuously improve recruiting processes, interview frameworks, and candidate evaluation criteria.
  • Track and report on key recruiting metrics.
  • Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies, job boards, and staffing vendors.
  • Ensure an excellent candidate experience from first contact through onboarding.

  • Stay current on labor market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with company leadership on employer branding initiatives (careers page, social media, job fairs, campus recruiting).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of progressive full-cycle recruiting experience. Agency, search firm and RPO backgrounds are strongly welcomed, particularly candidates who have carried a technical or engineering desk.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and engage passive candidates directly, rather than working primarily from inbound applications.
  • Proven track record recruiting technical and engineering talent. Aerospace, defence, robotics, hardware or deep tech exposure is a significant asset.
  • Comfort operating as the sole recruiter in a fast-moving environment, building process from the ground up rather than inheriting it.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques, ATS platforms, and recruiting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and consultative skills with senior leaders.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and present recruiting metrics.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • General understanding of Canadian employment law and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with employer branding and candidate experience initiatives.
