Job Summary
The Talent Acquisition Director is a senior-level professional responsible for building and sustaining a robust pipeline of leadership talent, both internally and externally. This role leverages advanced recruitment strategies, social media platforms, and relationship management tools to identify, engage, and nurture potential candidates for Vice-President and C-suite positions. The Talent Acquisition Director plays a key role in supporting the company’s long-term leadership development/succession objectives.
Job Description
- Talent Pipeline Building: Proactively source, attract, and maintain relationships with high-potential talent, ensuring a continuous flow of qualified candidates for executive and senior leadership roles.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture long-term connections with current and prospective leaders through regular engagement, leveraging social media, WorkDay and professional networking tools to foster trust and interest in the organization.
- Developing in-house talent pipelines, reducing agency fees, and optimizing recruitment processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Career Tracking and Development: Monitor and document the career progression of leaders from initial entry into the company through advancement into senior positions, collaborating with HR and business leaders to inform succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- In addition to leadership recruitment, this role will also be responsible for crafting and executing on recruitment and talent acquisition requirements to support integrations of newly acquired businesses.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in recruitment, with a proven track record of successfully placing candidates in Vice-President and C-suite roles.
- In-depth knowledge of executive search strategies, market mapping, and talent assessment methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in both internal talent development and external candidate engagement.
Skills and Competencies
- Proficiency in utilizing social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, X, professional forums) and digital recruitment tools to identify and connect with top talent.
- Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical abilities for tracking candidate progress, assessing leadership potential, and reporting on talent pipeline metrics.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the CHRO for the Portfolio and as an individual contributor, collaborating closely with senior HR leaders and business unit executives across the organization.
