Position Summary The Talent Acquisition Business Partner is a strategic, market-facing recruitment role responsible for delivering high-quality hiring outcomes for Connect Hearing across Canada. Based in Mississauga, this role combines full-cycle recruiting, Canadian hearing-care market knowledge, proactive stakeholder partnership, and a strong commitment to an inclusive candidate experience.

Corporate Office: Mississauga, ON – Hybrid Schedule

Reports To: Regional Talent Acquisition Delivery Lead

Travel Expectations: Approximately 5% travel within the U.S. and Canada for business needs, including university partnerships, audiology events, conferences, and stakeholder engagement.

Salary: $90,000 - $110,000

Your role at Connect Hearing: Sitting at the intersection of Talent Acquisition, HR, field operations, and Professional Excellence, this role is a strategic talent partner for Connect Hearing Canada — owning recruitment delivery, market insight, talent pipelines, university relationships, and industry-event engagement — ensuring the business attracts and hires the talent needed to deliver exceptional hearing care.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Partner with field leaders, clinic managers, HR Business Partners, and functional leaders to translate workforce priorities into clear recruitment strategies, role requirements, selection criteria, and hiring timelines.
  • Lead structured intake discussions and establish clear recruitment plans, communication rhythms, interview expectations, and accountability for next steps.
  • Advise leaders on Canadian hearing-care talent conditions, candidate availability, compensation considerations, regional hiring risks, and practical sourcing options.
  • Balance business urgency, quality of hire, candidate experience, and long-term workforce needs.

Full-Cycle Recruitment & Delivery

  • Own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle, including intake, posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, offer support, and onboarding handoff.
  • Recruit across clinic-based and corporate roles, including Audiologists, Hearing Instrument Practitioners, Customer Care Representatives, regional leadership, and support functions.
  • Build proactive pipelines for recurring, specialized, rural, remote, and hard-to-fill roles across Canada.
  • Provide timely updates on candidate progress, pipeline health, hiring risks, and recommended next steps.
  • Deliver a responsive, transparent, and respectful candidate experience from first contact through offer acceptance.

University Partnerships & Audiology Talent Pipeline

  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with Canadian universities, colleges, audiology programs, faculty, and student organizations.
  • Develop sustainable early-career pipelines through student engagement, internships, clinical placements, externships, and graduate outreach.
  • Position Connect Hearing as a compelling career destination by communicating the impact, development opportunities, technology, and long-term career paths available in retail hearing care.
  • Maintain consistent engagement and follow-up with university partners, students, and prospective candidates.

Audiology Events & Employer Brand

  • Plan, coordinate, and attend audiology conferences, campus events, career fairs, student sessions, networking programs, and other industry events on behalf of Connect Hearing.
  • Partner with Professional Excellence, Marketing, clinic leaders, and Talent Acquisition colleagues to define event objectives, coordinate logistics and materials, and prepare attendee engagement strategies.
  • Generate and track qualified talent leads from events, ensuring timely candidate follow-up and relationship development.
  • Bring Connect Hearing’s employee value proposition to life through locally relevant campaigns, employee stories, market insight, and candidate messaging.

Canadian Market Expertise & Talent Attraction

  • Apply strong knowledge of Canadian geography, provincial labour markets, licensing considerations, and regional talent dynamics.
  • Adapt sourcing and attraction strategies for urban, rural, remote, bilingual, and underserved markets.
  • Use LinkedIn, Indeed, specialized audiology channels, referrals, direct outreach, professional networks, schools, and industry communities to attract qualified talent.
  • Monitor competitor activity, compensation trends, local talent movement, and emerging talent pools.

Process Excellence, Analytics & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely recruitment activity in Sonnet and other approved talent systems.
  • Use funnel data and recruitment insights to identify bottlenecks, improve pipeline conversion and time-to-fill, and support workforce planning.
  • Promote consistent interview, assessment, candidate communication, offer, and onboarding-handoff practices.
  • Ensure recruitment practices and job postings align with applicable Canadian and provincial employment, accessibility, privacy, language, and pay-transparency requirements.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Align HR Business Partners, Shared Services, hiring leaders, Professional Excellence, Marketing, and operational teams around shared hiring and talent-pipeline priorities.
  • Engage appropriate stakeholders early in internal transfers, licensing considerations, mobility cases, and other complex hiring situations.
  • Collaborate with North American and global Talent Acquisition colleagues to share best practices, balance priorities, and support broader talent initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Five or more years of progressive full-cycle talent acquisition experience in a corporate, agency, healthcare, retail, or multi-site environment.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with hiring managers and senior stakeholders across multiple functions, locations, and levels.
  • Strong direct-sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, professional communities, and talent-pipeline strategies.
  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals, licensed practitioners, customer-facing teams, regional leadership, or other specialized talent is strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing university partnerships, supporting early-career programs, or coordinating recruitment events is preferred.
  • Experience using an applicant tracking system and recruitment reporting or analytics tools.
  • Working knowledge of Canadian recruitment practices and applicable provincial employment requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, influencing, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bilingual English and French capability and a CPHR designation are assets.
