At Liberty Insurance Agency, our mission is built around Relationships over Transactions. We believe exceptional experiences begin with the people who make up our team. We are looking for a relationship-driven, organized, and resourceful professional to bring recruiting in-house while supporting key human resources functions and employee experience initiatives.

This is an opportunity to help build and shape an internal recruiting and HR function within a growing, people-focused organization.

Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition & HR Specialist will lead Liberty’s internal recruiting efforts while supporting day-to-day human resources administration, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR process
improvement.

This position will manage the full-cycle recruiting process, partnering with department leaders to identify staffing needs, attract qualified candidates, and deliver a positive candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.

In addition to recruiting, this role will provide essential HR coordination and administrative support, helping ensure consistent processes, accurate documentation, and a positive employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable balancing recruiting priorities with ongoing HR responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting

  • Own and manage the full-cycle recruiting process across the organization, including job intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection coordination, and offer management.
  • Partner with department leaders to understand staffing needs, define position requirements, and establish candidate profiles and compensation parameters.
  • Develop and maintain effective candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, networking, professional associations, and other sourcing strategies.
  • Write compelling job postings that accurately reflect Liberty’s culture, values, and opportunities.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews, coordinate subsequent interviews, and facilitate timely feedback and communication.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system and maintain accurate candidate records, pipeline status, and recruiting documentation.
  • Coordinate background checks, references, offer paperwork, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, insurance industry organizations, and other talent sources to support future hiring needs.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics, including time to fill, source of hire, candidate pipeline, and offer acceptance rates.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes, candidate experience, and sourcing effectiveness.

Human Resources Administration

  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, orientation, employment documentation, and required training.
  • Maintain confidential and organized personnel files, employee records, job descriptions, and organizational documentation.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, exit interviews, and related administrative processes.
  • Support performance review cycles, introductory period reviews, employee documentation, and related deadlines.
  • Assist with maintaining HR policies, employee handbook materials, forms, and internal procedures.
  • Coordinate routine benefits, payroll, and employee status documentation with the appropriate internal or external partners.
  • Track required training, policy acknowledgments, and employment-related administrative requirements.
  • Serve as a resource for routine HR process questions and escalate sensitive or complex matters to leadership or designated external HR resources.

Employee Experience & Engagement

  • Support employee recognition, engagement surveys, company events, and culture initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee communications and initiatives that reinforce Liberty’s mission, values, and collaborative culture.
  • Help develop consistent onboarding and employee experience practices that support engagement and retention.
  • Assist leadership in identifying opportunities to improve employee communication, engagement, and retention.

HR Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain recruiting and HR trackers, dashboards, and routine reports.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline recruiting, onboarding, and HR workflows through technology, automation, and process improvement.
  • Develop and document repeatable procedures to support consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with leadership and external partners to support employment-related administrative and compliance needs.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as the internal recruiting and HR function

evolves.

Qualifications

  • Experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, or a related

people-focused role.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, organize workflows, and follow through on details.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to develop job postings and communicate professionally with candidates and employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Comfort using applicant tracking systems, HR systems, Microsoft Office, and other business technology.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to build and improve processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting both recruiting and general HR administration.
  • Experience recruiting within insurance, financial services, or another professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with onboarding, employee records, performance review coordination, and HR documentation.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, or similar sourcing tools.
  • Relevant HR education, SHRM or HRCI credentials, or a willingness to pursue professional development.

What Success Looks Like
