Staffing Manager - Bold Catering - Atlanta, GA

Great events don’t happen without great people and making sure the right people are in the right place at the right time is where you come in.

BOLD Catering & Design is looking for a Staffing Manager to take ownership of the hourly workforce that brings our events to life. This is a highly operational, people-focused role for someone who loves solving the staffing puzzle: anticipating what’s coming, building strong teams, staying ahead of gaps, and making sure every event is set up for success.

You’ll work closely with operational leaders to understand the business ahead and translate those needs into smart, efficient staffing plans. You’ll also be a visible presence at events—getting to know the team, seeing firsthand what’s working, and identifying opportunities to improve performance and execution.

The Staffing Manager reports to the Director of Catering Operations

What You’ll Own

Event Staffing & Scheduling: Build and manage hourly event schedules based on business needs, employee availability, skill level, position requirements, and budget.
Staffing Strategy: Look ahead, anticipate coverage needs, identify gaps early, and balance strong event coverage with labor efficiency and employee utilization.
Hourly Hiring & Onboarding: Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard Operations team members while maintaining an active pipeline of qualified talent.
Temporary Staffing: Manage relationships with approved staffing agencies, coordinate temporary labor, monitor performance and professionalism, and manage associated costs.
Time & Attendance: Monitor attendance, punctuality, callouts, and no-shows; maintain accurate records and partner with Operations and HR when accountability is needed.
Team Readiness: Ensure new employees complete orientation, required documentation, uniform issuance, and initial training.
Uniform Management: Oversee uniform inventory, issuance, replacement, returns, and related employee records.

What Will Make You Successful

Experience in staffing, scheduling, hospitality, catering, events, or another fast-paced operation; experience supporting a large hourly workforce is a plus.
Strong scheduling and labor-planning skills with the ability to see what’s coming and solve problems before they impact the operation.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without losing follow-through.
A confident communicator who builds strong relationships and is comfortable having direct, constructive conversations when performance needs to improve.
Sound judgment and the ability to adapt quickly when schedules, staffing needs, or event demands change.
Comfortable using scheduling/workforce management systems and general business technology.
A hands-on mindset—you’re willing to get out from behind the desk and understand the operation firsthand.

The Schedule

Events don’t operate on a traditional Monday–Friday schedule, and neither does this role. Regular evening and weekend availability is required, along with a strong weekly presence at events. You’ll spend time both planning behind the scenes and onsite seeing the results of those plans in action.

The Environment

This is an active hospitality and events role. You’ll work in both office and event environments, including indoor and outdoor venues. Event work may require extended periods of standing and walking, navigating varied venue terrain, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
