About Us
At Delta Home Care, we are committed to providing exceptional, compassionate care to our elderly and disabled clients. Our success depends on seamless coordination between caregivers, clients, families, and case managers — and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for a Staffing Assistant who will train and grow into a Staffing Coordinator role based on performance. This is a hands-on, fast-paced position with plenty of opportunity for advancement.
Position Overview
The Staffing Assistant will work closely with the Staffing Supervisor to ensure our clients receive the care they need, when they need it. You’ll be on the phone often — speaking with caregivers, clients, families, and case managers — to coordinate schedules, resolve issues, and fill open shifts with minimal to no missed hours. Over time, as you master the role, you’ll transition into a Staffing Coordinator position with greater responsibility and autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate caregiver schedules to fulfill all approved client hours.
- Communicate daily with caregivers in the field, clients, families, and case managers.
- Handle urgent scheduling needs and resolve last-minute changes quickly.
- Calmly and professionally de-escalate situations with upset or frustrated clients/families.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring caregivers.
- Support the Staffing Supervisor with paperwork, onboarding, and new hire orientations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and client satisfaction.
- Utilize scheduling software to ensure caregivers are clocking in and out correctly; follow up on time records to prevent and detect potential fraud.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication skills and a confident phone presence.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem-solving mindset with a calm, professional demeanor.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, scheduling software).
- No prior home care experience required — training provided.
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who is fearless on the phone, thrives in a busy environment, and can think on their feet. You should be a natural communicator who can build trust with clients and caregivers alike, and who takes pride in keeping schedules running like clockwork. This role is perfect for someone who wants to start as a Staffing Assistant and grow into a Staffing Coordinator — with plenty of opportunity for advancement based on performance.
