Job Summary

The Recruiter position at Feldco will initially be responsible for supporting the company’s recruiting and staffing activities, with training provided. This initial focus is designed to build a strong foundation in recruiting while providing the individual with a thorough understanding of how Feldco operates. As the individual develops their recruiting skills and experience, the scope and responsibilities of the role will grow, providing opportunities to take on additional recruiting responsibilities, contribute to strategic planning, and assist in the development of future recruiting initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Respond to applicants via email and other communication channels to effectively move candidates through the recruiting process.
  • Post and maintain job openings across various recruiting platforms to attract qualified candidates.
  • Source candidates through a variety of avenues, including job boards, social media, networking, job fairs, and other recruiting channels.
  • Review applicant resumes and conduct phone screens to evaluate candidates for assigned openings.
  • Schedule and conduct interviews and provide informed recommendations based on interview results and established hiring criteria.
  • Coordinate the candidate screening and pre-employment process, including background checks, drug screens, reference checks, and new hire orientation.
  • Accurately manage job openings and candidate activity within the Applicant Tracking System (Paycor Recruiting).
  • Conduct group presentations for new employees during onboarding and orientation (including the Employee Handbook, Payroll System Walkthrough, and other assigned materials).
  • Utilize social media and other emerging recruiting channels to increase candidate engagement and strengthen the company’s recruiting efforts.
  • Assist with the internship program, including coordinating events and off-site career fairs.
  • Review current recruiting, hiring, onboarding policies & procedures and recommend process improvements based on hiring metrics collected
  • Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned by the Recruiting Manager or HR Director.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Outgoing, personable, and comfortable interacting with candidates and employees regularly through email, phone, and in-person communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior recruiting or human resources experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately manage recruiting metrics, candidate information, and analytics.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
