The Senior Technical Recruiter plays a critical role in identifying, engaging, and securing exceptional technical talent to support the organization’s continued growth and success. This role owns the full recruitment lifecycle for a portfolio of complex and high-priority technical positions, including other business professional roles.
As a trusted talent advisor, the Senior Technical Recruiter partners closely with hiring managers, business leaders, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and provide data-driven market insights. This individual brings deep sourcing expertise, strong technical recruiting fluency, and the ability to influence hiring decisions in a competitive talent landscape.
Success in this role requires someone who can independently manage searches from intake through offer acceptance, proactively build pipelines of passive technical talent, navigate competing priorities, and consistently deliver an exceptional candidate and hiring-manager experience.
What You Will Do
- Own and manage the full lifecycle recruiting process for a portfolio of technical requisitions, from intake and sourcing through screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and acceptance.
- Recruit across a broad range of technical disciplines, including Software, Data, Systems, and Desktop Engineering, as well as other specialized and hard-to-fill technical roles.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and business leaders, providing talent-market insights, competitive intelligence, pipeline data, and recommendations that influence hiring decisions.
- Partner closely with hiring managers and business leaders to develop a deep understanding of team objectives, technical requirements, organizational needs, and the attributes that distinguish exceptional talent beyond stated job requirements.
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies using Boolean search, professional networks, social media, referrals, market research, and other innovative sourcing channels.
- Conduct ongoing talent market research and competitive intelligence to identify emerging skill sets, talent trends, and leading firms and organizations producing high-caliber candidates.
- Build strong candidate relationships throughout the recruiting process, delivering clear communication, timely feedback, transparency, and a consistently high-quality candidate experience.
- Coach and advise hiring managers on interviewing practices, candidate evaluation, market conditions, and effective selection decisions.
- Use recruiting data to prioritize requisitions, evaluate search effectiveness, recommend adjustments, and provide hiring teams with clear visibility into recruiting progress.
- Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines of high-potential candidates through targeted sourcing, networking, talent mapping, and relationship-building efforts, regardless of current hiring demand.
- Partner with HR and other teams to ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance through the candidate’s start date.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, recruiting programs, and innovative talent strategies that strengthen the organization’s overall talent acquisition capabilities.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with significant experience recruiting technical talent in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success independently managing complex technical requisitions and delivering against hiring goals.
- Strong technical recruiting fluency and the ability to credibly partner with hiring managers.
- Proven expertise in direct sourcing and engaging passive technical talent through Boolean search, professional networks, social media, referrals, research, and targeted outreach.
- Track record of successfully closing highly sought-after candidates in competitive situations, including navigating counteroffers and multiple-offer scenarios.
- Data-driven mindset with experience using recruiting funnel metrics to evaluate search performance, identify bottlenecks, prioritize work, and improve hiring outcomes.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence partners at multiple levels of an organization.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Workday Recruiting experience is a plus.
- High level of ownership, judgment, resilience, and urgency, with a commitment to delivering exceptional hiring outcomes and candidate experiences.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both highly technical audiences and broader business stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to independently manage multiple searches and shifting business priorities.
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence partners at multiple levels of an organization.
- Strong consultative skills with the confidence and judgment to challenge assumptions, recalibrate searches, and influence hiring managers using market intelligence and recruiting data.
