About the role
The Senior Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for positions in the Investment Management Division of Symetra Life Insurance Company, including investments, operations, technology, risk, legal, compliance, and support functions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and the HR team to identify, attract, and hire top talent while ensuring an exceptional candidate experience and adherence to regulatory and company hiring standards. The ideal candidate possesses experience recruiting within investment management, asset management, private markets, financial services, or related industries and has a strong understanding of industry talent markets and recruiting best practices.
This is a hybrid role based in the Farmington, CT area

What you will do
- Partner with hiring managers to define a recruitment strategy to find the best talent, based on the business needs and goals.
- Manage the entire recruiting cycle from candidate generation through sourcing, interviewing, and employment decision.
- Source high-quality candidates through the development and implementation of innovative recruiting programs and strategies.
- Develops and manage recruiting-related programs/tasks (e.g. internship program, campus recruiting, social recruiting, applicant tracking system, interviewing skills, recruiting materials, etc.
- Build relationships with industry professionals, universities, professional associations, and networking groups.
- Participate in campus recruiting activities, job fairs, and networking events.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 5 to 8 years of full-cycle recruiting experience within investment management, asset management, private equity, and/or financial services.
- Proven experience recruiting across a broad range of functions including investment professionals, client-facing roles, operations, technology, compliance, risk, finance, and corporate support positions.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple requisitions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of investment management industry structures, roles, and talent markets.
- Strong sourcing capabilities utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other talent platforms.
- Excellent interviewing, relationship-building, and consultative communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruiting analytics.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and build trusted relationships at all levels.
Compensation
Base salary of $100,000-$120,000 and eligibility for annual bonus program.
