MPA provides after-sales service parts support for Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Genesis. Description

Job Purpose

Employment & Recruiting Objectives

Recruiting

  • Manage the process for internal and external recruiting; Ensure all approvals are in place and properly documented on the right forms, including updated job descriptions, FLSA testing, headcount, and salary recommendations. Drive the process from start to finish, continually follow-up with hiring mgr. to move process along. Expand sources of recruitment based on position.
  • Post positions within 36 hours of receiving final approvals; advise managers on internal and external postings and plan for consecutive and/or concurrent postings.
  • Adhere to recruiting budget and ensure allocations are correct; purchase job bundles and/or print advertisements based on projected headcount increase and obtain proper approvals.
  • Facilitate relocation process; obtain approvals; ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Fill open positions within 30 business days or less (Posting to job offer).
  • Complete organizational announcements within 1 week of new hire/promotion and day candidate starts.
  • Maintain weekly Recruiting Tracking report.
  • Populate ADP Recruiting Module.
  • Ensure proper filing and files are maintained within 48 hours of the position being filled.
  • Notify manager of any significant delays or issues.
  • Handle DOL inquiries and supervised recruitment.
  • Develop New Hire Orientation.
  • Conduct pre-screen interviews and review resumes before submitting to hiring manager.

Employment

  • Perform bi-annual audits of I-9's and Visa Work Authorization.
  • Maintain Visa documentation and tracking.
  • Employment visa coordination with attorneys, respective departments and affected employees.
  • Maintain proper individual files for I-9, Visa/Immigration and Employment Matters.
  • Administer Visa/Immigration Policy.
  • Process terminations.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly Organizational Chart.
  • Maintain weekly hires & terminations report.
  • Respond and represent company on UI, SDI claims and appeals.

Key Accountabilities

Field questions from employees and managers regarding policy interpretation

Respond to policy/procedure inquiries within the hour when possible

Update Employee Handbook or Company Policies within 72 hours of final approval

Communicate policy and procedure changes to the organization within 48 hours of final approval

Key Performance Indicators

Projects managed to completion, delivered on time, with quality results

Prioritize special projects without delay in daily duties

Major Challenges and Key Decisions

Must be resourceful in finding qualified talent and ability to fill positions quickly and ability to sell and close job offers. Make diversity a priority
