JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Recruiter is a key member of the Talent Acquisition team responsible for developing and executing recruiting strategies that attract, engage, and hire high-quality talent across the organization. This role will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for professional, operational, and highly skilled technical positions, with a particular focus on skilled trades and the mechanical systems/MEP industry.

This position will also play an important role in strengthening recruiting processes, leveraging technology and recruiting analytics, and continuously improving the candidate and hiring-manager experience.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned roles from intake through offer negotiation and close.
  • Develop targeted recruiting strategies aligned to role requirements, market conditions, geography, compensation, and talent availability.
  • Recruit for hard-to-fill skilled-trades and mechanical systems roles, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, controls/building automation, service, and construction positions.
  • Build proactive candidate pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Source and engage active and passive candidates through direct outreach, referrals, networking, industry associations, trade organizations, social media, and professional platforms.
  • Assess candidates for technical qualifications, relevant experience, leadership capability, communication skills, cultural alignment, and overall role fit.
  • Present qualified candidates to hiring managers with concise summaries of experience, qualifications, compensation expectations, and key considerations.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Partner with hiring managers and business leaders to define role requirements, ideal candidate profiles, interview plans, decision criteria, and hiring timelines.
  • Lead recruiting intake meetings and align stakeholders on expectations, process, responsibilities, and timelines.
  • Provide hiring managers with labor-market, talent-availability, sourcing, compensation, and recruiting-process guidance.
  • Maintain strong hiring-manager relationships through regular communication, recruiting updates, and performance reporting.
  • Identify and resolve barriers that may delay hiring decisions or candidate progression.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support recruiting initiatives, workforce planning activities, and talent acquisition projects as assigned.
  • Represent the organization in college, trade school, apprenticeship, and community recruiting initiatives.
  • Share recruiting best practices and provide guidance to Talent Acquisition team members.

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field, or combination of education and demonstrated experience.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • 2-5 years of progressive recruiting experience, with demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Full life cycle recruiting, sourcing, candidate pipelining, business stakeholder communications, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting within the HVAC, mechanical contracting, MEP, construction, facilities services, building automation, or industrial services industries.
  • In depth understanding of skilled-trades recruiting experience; inclusive of HVAC service technicians, pipefitters, plumbers, electricians, controls technicians, project managers, service managers, operations leaders, or other skilled technical talent.
  • Ability to recruit within a multi-location or multi-business-unit organization.
  • Proficiency with UKG Pro Recruiting, UKG Ready, or comparable enterprise applicant tracking systems.
  • Advanced sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other professional talent-sourcing platforms.
  • Talent pipeline development through trade schools, apprenticeship programs, technical colleges, veterans' programs, and industry organizations.
  • Recruiting analytics and metrics interpretation to evaluate sourcing effectiveness and improve hiring outcomes.
  • Recruiting technology fluency, including talent intelligence, CRM tools, sourcing automation, and AI-enabled recruiting solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • This position is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in both an office and a field environment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
