Position Opportunity

The Senior Recruiter is an experienced individual contributor responsible for full-cycle recruitment and assigned talent acquisition programs. Like other members of the recruiting team, this position recruits people across salaried and hourly positions based on business needs, with a primary emphasis on professional and salaried recruitment.

The Senior Recruiter is distinguished by recruiting experience, independent requisition management, and ownership of assigned recruiting programs and external partnerships. In addition to managing assigned requisitions, the Senior Recruiter coordinates third-party job posting relationships, approved staffing and search agencies, internship and co-op recruiting, college and community partnerships, recruiting outreach, and recruiting administration within Paycom. The position also partners with hiring managers and Human Resources to develop job descriptions, facilitate manager intake questionnaires, clarify position requirements, and establish sourcing strategies.

This role is intended for an experienced recruiter who can independently manage assigned searches and coordinate key recruiting programs and partnerships while working collaboratively with the broader recruiting team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned salaried and hourly positions, with an emphasis on professional, technical, leadership, and other complex searches based on business needs.
  • Partner with hiring managers to conduct structured intake meetings, clarify role requirements, define candidate profiles, and establish recruiting strategies and timelines.
  • Develop, update, and maintain job descriptions in partnership with hiring managers and HR; create and administer manager job-description questionnaires to capture essential duties, qualifications, reporting relationships, and position requirements.
  • Coordinate relationships with third-party job posting and recruiting platforms, including posting strategy, account contacts, utilization, and service needs within Paycom and external systems.
  • Serve as the primary Talent Acquisition contact for approved third-party recruiting/search agencies on assigned searches; communicate requisition requirements, coordinate candidate submissions, and support consistent agency processes.
  • Build and maintain college, university, technical school, internship, and co-op partnerships to create early-career talent pipelines aligned with current and future workforce needs.
  • Coordinate internship and co-op recruiting activities, including outreach, career fairs, candidate sourcing, hiring-manager coordination, and relationship management with academic partners.
  • Develop community recruiting partnerships with workforce development organizations, professional associations, schools, and local organizations to expand candidate pipelines for both salaried and hourly positions.
  • Create targeted sourcing strategies using Paycom, job boards, professional networks, referrals, community partnerships, and direct outreach to identify qualified passive and active candidates.
  • Maintain recruiting administration within Paycom, including requisitions, candidates, postings, workflows, and recruiting documentation; support process consistency and effective system utilization.
  • Track recruiting metrics and partner activity, including applicant flow, source effectiveness, time-to-fill, agency utilization, and pipeline status; provide updates and identify trends or opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with HR leadership and hiring managers to identify recurring or anticipated staffing needs and build candidate pipelines for assigned areas.
  • Partner with other recruiters to support hourly recruiting, hiring events, community outreach, and high-volume staffing initiatives as business priorities require.
  • Represent Alamance Foods at career fairs, college events, community events, networking opportunities, and other recruiting activities.
  • Promote consistent, professional, and compliant recruiting practices and ensure candidates receive clear and timely communication throughout the hiring process.

Education/Training/Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology, organizational development, or a related field preferred. HR certification preferred.

Related Experience: 3–4 years of full-cycle recruiting experience required, including experience recruiting professional or salaried positions. Manufacturing, food manufacturing, or other high-volume operational recruiting experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills Experience

  • Knowledge of recruiting and human resources best practices, including applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting technologies; Paycom experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and candidate relationship-management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple requisitions and build effective relationships with hiring managers, candidates, and external partners.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, food manufacturing, or related operational environments preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
