The Role
The Senior Recruiter will provide high-touch, end-to-end recruitment support to GCIB and Global Markets & Research, partnering closely with senior hiring managers and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality talent within agreed timelines, SLAs, and KPIs.
This role is suited to an experienced recruiter who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced financial services or investment banking environment, engaging with senior leaders, managing complex recruitment processes independently, and providing consultative advice rather than simply executing hiring requests.
The Senior Recruiter will act as a trusted recruitment partner and custodian of candidate quality, hiring manager experience, process efficiency, and recruitment compliance. The role will work closely with Sourcing, Recruitment Administration, and other internal teams to deliver an effective end-to-end recruitment service.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage recruitment processes from intake through offer and onboarding/start date.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define role requirements, sourcing strategies, timelines, compensation, and selection processes.
- Provide consultative recruitment advice, using market insights and data to guide hiring decisions and challenge unrealistic requirements where appropriate.
- Manage complex hiring processes, including multiple interview stages, senior-level stakeholders, and offer negotiations.
- Partner with Sourcing and Administration teams to ensure strong candidate and stakeholder experiences.
- Monitor recruitment metrics, identify bottlenecks, and develop proactive talent pipelines.
- Coach and mentor Recruiters, Sourcers, and Administrators on best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate ATS/CRM data and ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements, and internal policies.
- Independently manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Requirements
- Hands on end-to-end recruitment, ideally within investment banking or financial services.
- Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and executives.
- Strong executive presence and communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups of 10–100+.
- Ability to work independently with limited direction and exercise strong critical thinking and judgment.
- Experience with RPO, recruitment technology, ATS/CRM systems, and recruitment compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management, organisation, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented approach with experience coaching and mentoring others.
