Recognized as Certified Great Place to Work, GDS Wealth Management is a fast-growing wealth management firm that helps clients pursue their financial goals with sophisticated planning and a high level of service. Growth depends on getting the right advisors into the right seats, and we're hiring a Senior Recruiter, Advisor Talent to own that.

Financial Advisor recruiting is the primary focus of this role. You will own recruiting across the firm from day one, bringing the same discipline to operations and corporate hires as GDS grows. This is a sales role where the product is our firm, and the buyers are talented financial advisors and planners. You'll build and run our advisor pipeline, win candidates in competitive markets, and be measured on hires that stick.

What You'll Own

Advisor Recruiting (Primary Focus)

  • End-to-end ownership. Run full cycle recruiting for Financial Advisor roles, from first outreach through offer and close, plus the onboarding handoff.
  • The bench. Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified advisors and planners, including passive candidates who aren't looking, so an open seat never means starting from zero.
  • Right person, right seat. Work with the advisor hiring team to define what great looks like for each role. Assess for skill and client-facing ability first, then for business development potential and alignment with GDS core values.
  • Registration screening. Verify registration status and U4/U5 history against our clean-record requirement before candidates advance.
  • Telling the GDS story. Present the growth opportunity and the firm's platform accurately and consistently. Partner with HR and key leadership on compensation and on responding to competing offers.
  • Market presence. Build credible relationships through CFP® networks and industry events so GDS is the firm advisors call first.

Firm-Wide Recruiting

  • Full-cycle hiring. Partner with hiring managers on intake, running sourcing, screening, and interviews for operations and other corporate roles.
  • Standardized evaluation. Coach managers on structured interviews so every candidate is assessed against the same criteria.

Across All Roles

  • Offers and background checks. Own offer development and background checks through close, partnering with HR on compensation.
  • Process and data. Run a disciplined, fast hiring process and report on pipeline, speed, and quality of hire.
  • Other duties as assigned.

How You'll Be Measured

  • Qualified candidates sourced and in pipeline per month
  • Outreach, conversations, and interviews generated (activity metrics)
  • Time to fill and time between stages
  • Offer acceptance rate
  • Quality of hire (performance and retention at 6 and 12 months)
  • Bench depth: ready-to-go candidates for each open or anticipated seat

What You Bring

  • 5+ years in recruiting, ideally placing financial advisors, planners, or other licensed or client-facing professionals in wealth management, RIA, insurance, or financial services
  • A track record of hitting recruiting or sales numbers and comfort being held accountable to them
  • Strong understanding of the advisor role: what great advisors do, how they're compensated, what motivates them to move, and how to tell real producers from résumé polish
  • Working familiarity with advisor registration and disclosure review, including Form U4/U5 and BrokerCheck
  • Direct, persuasive communication that earns trust from the first conversation
  • A habit of proactive outreach (calls, LinkedIn, referrals, networking) rather than waiting for applicants
  • Urgency: you move fast, follow up fast, and close fast without sacrificing quality

Across All Roles

  • Experience in running structured, full-cycle hiring for non-advisor roles, with disciplined intake and competency and behavior-based interviewing
  • Ability to coach hiring managers so every hire is held to the same standard
  • Proficiency with an applicant tracking system (ADP's recruiting module or a comparable platform) and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Willingness to work the phones

Preferred: experience recruiting CFP® professionals and an established network of advisors. Familiarity with the North Texas market is a plus.
