We currently have a career opportunity for a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team located in Plano, TX, 2 days/week in- office required.
The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for conducting full lifecycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, scheduling interviews along with completing the onboarding process of the candidates for assigned searches in order to support the dynamic growth of Perficient Inc. This individual will need to maintain excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates and the community at-large. A wide degree of creativity, near and long-term recruiting vision, business understanding, and personal organization is required.
Perficient is a leading global digital consultancy. Within that, the Salesforce practice is one of the fastest-growing partners in the entire Salesforce ecosystem, leading the charge on AI-enabled delivery and giving Salesforce professionals a genuine front-row seat to where the platform is headed. It's the kind of practice that makes recruiting for it feel less like filling seats and more like building something that top talent actually wants to be part of.
We're growing fast and hiring deliberately, not just to fill seats, but to build a team of people who actually care about the success of their co-workers and clients.
The Role
This isn't a "post and wait" recruiting job. We need someone who goes out and finds the right people, not someone who manages a queue of inbound applicants and hopes for the best.
You'll be dedicated full-time to the Salesforce practice, primarily hiring Salesforce Solution Architects, with additional searches for consultants, developers, and practice leaders. You'll work side by side with the practice, not at a distance from it: 1-on-1s, recruiting meetings, staffing meetings, and standups are part of your week, not occasional check-ins. You'll also shadow live client calls, so you understand firsthand the specific roles, skill sets, and soft skills we're actually looking for, not just what's written on a job req.
What that looks like day to day
- Proactive, direct outreach to passive candidates. Cold and warm. LinkedIn, referrals, community, whatever works.
- Posting and managing applicant response, but never relying on it as the primary source
- Asking our own team who they'd refer, and following up on it
- Sending personalized video introductions to candidates, a tactic we use that most recruiters don't
- Screening interviews using a structured Humble/Hungry/Smart scorecard, shared with the hiring manager after every screen
- Learning the Salesforce ecosystem well enough to have a real conversation with a candidate, not just read a job description back to them
- Getting specific, fast feedback from hiring managers and adjusting your search based on it
About You
- Salesforce knowledge is a plus, not a requirement. What we do expect is that you'll learn our practice from the inside out: what we do, how we do it, who thrives here and who doesn't, and why. That means real curiosity, not just checking a box on a training module.
- You bring energy and enthusiasm to what you do, and it doesn't feel like a performance. You're personable and can carry a conversation with just about anyone, whether that's a candidate, a hiring manager, or a room full of both, and you're just as comfortable presenting to a group as you are one-on-one.
- You're humble enough to take feedback and change your approach without getting defensive, but confident enough that clients and candidates trust you.
- You care about getting it right, not just getting it filled.
How we evaluate talent, and how we'll evaluate you
We use a trust-over-performance lens borrowed from how elite teams select people. High performance, paired with low trust doesn't get a pass here, it's the profile most likely to quietly damage a team. We'd rather have someone who's a strong (not flashy) performer and who everyone on the team trusts completely, than a top performer nobody wants to work with. You'll be expected to screen candidates the same way, and to hold yourself to it too.
We're specifically looking for the Ideal Team Player profile (Lencioni):
- Humble: You teach and you learn. You don't need to be the smartest person in the room; you need the room to get smarter.
- Hungry: You take on new challenges without being asked twice. If you didn't have to sleep, you'd probably be building or learning something anyway. Passive learning ("I watched some videos") isn't hunger. Active experimentation is.
- Smart (people-smart): You read a room, adjust how you talk to different people, and know when to push and when to listen.
Without integrity, the other two don't matter; they'll work against you instead of for you.
- 7-10+ years of full-lifecycle technical recruiting in Professional Services / Consulting
- Proven track record recruiting technology consultants, ideally within an ecosystem like Salesforce, ServiceNow, AWS, or similar
- Comfortable with Boolean search and proactive sourcing, not just ATS management
- You're genuinely excited about AI, not just tolerant of it. You already use tools like LinkedIn Recruiter + Hiring Assistant, and you're eager to pick up tools like Claude and use them to work faster and smarter, not because you're told to, but because you actually like this stuff.
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Bachelor's degree preferred
