Regional Recruiter

Regalcare of Massachusetts | Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation | Multi-Facility, Massachusetts

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer (or designee) Status: Full-time, exempt Location: Regional role with travel to Regalcare facilities across Massachusetts

About Regalcare

Regalcare operates skilled nursing facilities across Massachusetts, delivering high-quality, person-centered care. Our people are the heart of that care, and we are building a recruiting function that brings in committed, compassionate team members directly, without relying on staffing agencies.

Position Summary

The Regional Recruiter owns the full recruiting cycle for all frontline positions across Regalcare facilities. This role focuses on direct-hire recruitment: sourcing, engaging, and hiring candidates onto the Regalcare payroll to build stable, high-performing facility teams and reduce reliance on agency and temporary staffing. The Regional Recruiter partners closely with facility administrators, Directors of Nursing, and department heads to understand needs and fill them quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for all frontline roles, including CNAs, LPNs, RNs, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, activities, maintenance, and unit/administrative support staff.
  • Proactively source and contact direct-hire candidates through job boards, social media, LinkedIn, referrals, community organizations, and walk-in and online applicant pools.
  • Build and maintain a steady pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated openings at every facility.
  • Screen applicants by phone, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate interviews with facility leadership.
  • Move candidates quickly from application to offer to start date, with a consistently positive candidate experience.
  • Verify licensure and certification (RN/LPN licensure through the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing; CNA certification and nurse aide registry status) and coordinate required background checks, CORI, exclusion screening, health clearances, and references in coordination with HR.
  • Partner with facility leaders to create weekly and monthly hiring plans based on vacancies, turnover, census, and staffing needs.
  • Represent Regalcare at nursing schools, CNA training programs, vocational schools, workforce boards, MassHire career centers, and job fairs; develop school and community partnerships.
  • Develop and run employee referral programs, sign-on and retention incentives, and other recruiting campaigns in partnership with HR and finance.
  • Support onboarding handoff so new hires are ready and welcomed on day one, and follow up during the first 90 days to support retention.
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system and report regularly on open positions, time-to-fill, applicant sources, offer acceptance rates, and early turnover.
  • Ensure all recruiting practices comply with federal and state employment laws, CMS requirements, and Regalcare policies.
  • Write and update clear, engaging job postings that reflect Regalcare's culture and values.
