The Recruitment Specialist reports directly to the Associate Director of Recruitment and plays a key role in connecting prospective students with the educational opportunities available at Northwest Florida State College. This position is ideal for a goal-oriented professional who thrives on building relationships, engaging diverse audiences, and making a meaningful impact on students' academic journeys.
This role offers a dynamic opportunity to represent the College in the community, inspire prospective students, and contribute to the continued growth and visibility of NWFSC programs. The Recruitment Specialist is also expected to demonstrate leadership by supporting institutional initiatives and helping the College effectively navigate change.
- Represent Northwest Florida State College at campus events, community gatherings, college fairs, schools, and businesses across the state (and occasionally out-of-state), presenting in a professional and knowledgeable manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with teachers, counselors, students, parents, and community partners to promote awareness of the College and its programs.
- Deliver engaging presentations and outreach efforts that effectively communicate program offerings, admissions requirements, and college opportunities.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all degree and certificate programs to provide accurate guidance to prospective students.
- Guide applicants through the admissions process, providing consistent follow-up and personalized support as needed.
- Conduct campus tours and create a welcoming experience for prospective students and visitors at multiple campus and center locations.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with prospective students via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Meet or exceed assigned recruitment goals while actively identifying new opportunities to expand outreach and engagement efforts.
- Participate fully in all recruitment events and initiatives as directed by the department.
- Complete mandatory annual compliance and training requirements.

Job Requirements
- Associate's degree with 2-4 years of documented relevant work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of documented relevant work experience.
- Ability to travel in-state, out-of-state, and occasionally overnight.
- Previous sales and/or recruitment experience preferred.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship-building.
- Results-driven, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and contribute actionable ideas.
