Job Responsibilities
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for managing all processes related to employment and staffing. Collaborates with hiring managers to facilitate the recruitment process and lead efforts in sourcing, selecting, and hiring both technical and non-technical positions. This position supports Human Resources with execution of employment initiatives.
- Manage the full recruitment life cycle for assigned area to include posting, advertising, resume management, behavioral interviewing, pre-employment assessment, screening tools and on boarding.
- Develop, recommend and implement strategic and innovative recruitment, sourcing and employment branding initiatives to continually replenish candidate pipeline based on market condition and forecasted staffing needs.
- Assist with requisitions and screening tools; recommending recruitment sources; and providing technical support for our applicant tracking software.
- Establish and foster relationships with external recruitment sources (contingency recruiting firms, staffing agencies, campus affiliations, internet job boards, community agencies).
- Monitor, track and analyze recruitment data, including creation of reports on hire rates, applicant sourcing, employee referrals, etc. Prepares related reports needed to satisfy management and clients.
- Partner with the hiring manager to define appropriate recruiting strategies based on position description. Identify perceived difficulties with searches and research solutions by collaborating with recruitment team.
- Evaluate candidates based on position descriptions to determine if candidates are appropriate for current or future openings.
- Manage communication with applicants and hiring manager.
- Ensure alignment of recruiting activities with business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the completion and submittal of all necessary paperwork required for hire/on-boarding.
- Update, compile and distribute recruitment information, new hire information packets, etc.
- Maintain electronic personnel records and HRIS system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Plan daily, weekly and monthly activities to reach established objectives and goals.
- Leads the facilitation of pre-employment recruitment activities, in partnership with hiring managers.
- Responsible for adhering to standard work processes to ensure recruitment process is in compliance with established company policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements, includes:
- Requisition approval and tracking; internal/external job posting; pre-employment assessment; pre-employment background/testing; compliance training and on boarding.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study.
- 2-5 years of experience managing high volume, full-life cycle recruiting for all levels of positions.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications, internet recruiting sources, and applicant tracking systems. Experience with ADP HRIS preferred.
- Experience with workforce planning, metrics, sustainability and employer branding preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external customers. Requires good listening and comprehension skills and an ability to facilitate difficult interactions among organization stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
