The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts across Loffredo Fresh Foods and its locations throughout the Midwest. This role partners closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand staffing needs, attract and identify qualified candidates, and guide candidates through the hiring process from initial sourcing through offer and pre-employment requirements. The HR Recruiter supports hiring across a wide range of positions, including hourly positions such as warehouse and CDL drivers, and other roles. This position also contributes to improving recruiting processes, strengthening the candidate experience, and supporting Loffredo Fresh Foods' overall talent strategy.

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, recruiting platforms, and other HR technology

What you’ll do

  • Manage the full-cycle recruiting process from job opening through offer acceptance and pre-employment completion
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, schedules, qualifications, and ideal candidate profiles
  • Create and maintain accurate, engaging job postings across appropriate recruiting platforms
  • Source candidates through job boards, applicant databases, direct outreach, referrals, and other recruiting channels
  • Review applications and resumes and conduct initial candidate screenings
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers, including scheduling and candidate communication
  • Provide hiring managers with qualified candidates and support them throughout the interview and selection process
  • Facilitate offer processes and communicate offers, benefits information, and next steps to selected candidates
  • Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, motor vehicle record checks, drug testing, and other applicable screening requirements
  • Support CDL driver recruitment and ensure applicable hiring requirements and compliance processes are followed
  • Maintain accurate candidate and requisition information within the applicant tracking system
  • Communicate consistently with candidates throughout the hiring process and provide a professional candidate experience
  • Track recruiting activity, open positions, candidate progress, and hiring outcomes
  • Partner with leadership and hiring managers to identify recruiting challenges and develop solutions
  • Help improve and standardize recruiting processes, tools, interview practices, and hiring resources
  • Stay current on recruiting trends, talent market conditions, and effective sourcing strategies
  • Support additional HR initiatives and projects as needed
