OVERVIEW
This role is a hybrid position, supporting both recruiting and HR business partner work. The recruiting portion of the role has responsibility for attracting, evaluating, and hiring qualified candidates for field, skilled-trade, administrative, and professional positions. This role builds strong relationships with candidates, talent acquisition teammates, community organizations, trade schools, and workforce partners. The successful candidate is fluent in English and Spanish and provides a professional, welcoming candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
The Business Partner portion of this position is responsible for the execution of Encore Electric’s summer intern program, as well as providing support to the business in areas such as performance management, employee relations, investigations and project / operational management. This role may have a small client group and will assist the larger business partner team in surge support where needed.
Compensation for this role: $80,000 to $90,000

Specific Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the full recruiting cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer coordination, and pre-employment activities.
- Recruit for skilled-trade, construction field, administrative, and professional positions.
- Conduct interviews and candidate communications in both English and Spanish when required.
- Assist in evaluating skills and utilizing assessment tools.
- Translate or clearly explain job postings, employment requirements, onboarding instructions, benefits information, and company policies to Spanish-speaking candidates.
- Help develop candidate pipelines through job boards, social media, employee referrals, career fairs, trade schools, community organizations, and workforce-development programs.
- Partner and support recruiting team and understand staffing needs, job requirements, workforce plans, and hiring priorities.
- Review applications and conduct phone or video screens to evaluate candidates' experience, qualifications, availability, and interest.
- Coordinate interviews, hiring decisions, employment offers, background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding activities.
- Maintain complete and accurate candidate records and recruiting activity in the UKG applicant tracking system.
- Provide candidates with timely updates and a consistent, positive experience throughout the hiring process.
- Schedule and attend career fairs, hiring events, school visits, community events, and other recruiting activities.
- Build partnerships with organizations serving bilingual and Spanish-speaking communities.
- Support employee-referral campaigns, recruitment marketing, and employer-branding initiatives.
- Assist in tracking recruiting results, including time to fill, candidate sources, offer acceptance rates, and hiring-event effectiveness.
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws, company policies, and equal-employment-opportunity requirements.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of the company's summer internship program, to include programming & intern experience.
- Support the organization's performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, development planning, and corrective action.
- Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback conversations, documentation, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and policy interpretation.
- Conduct prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into employee complaints, workplace concerns, and policy violations.
- Provide day-to-day HR operational support across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job changes, and offboarding

REQUIREMENTS
- Professional fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish required.
- At least one year of recruiting, talent acquisition, staffing, or human-resources experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience recruiting skilled-trade, construction, electrical, manufacturing, or high-volume field positions preferred.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems such as UKG, job boards, social media, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong interviewing, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple openings and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Willingness to travel locally to jobsites, career fairs, schools, and community recruiting events.
