POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Recruiting Manager at LJA in our Business Solutions department, you will be responsible for leading recruiting delivery across assigned business areas while directly managing a team of recruiters. This role serves as both a people leader and senior recruiting professional, balancing personal recruiting responsibilities with team leadership, operational oversight, and partnership with business leaders. The Recruiting Manager will drive hiring outcomes, recruit talent across the assigned business area, and develop a high-performing recruiting team that delivers exceptional service, candidate experience, and hiring results.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

  • Lead recruiting across assigned business areas while directly managing a team of recruiters.
  • Serve as the primary recruiting partner for business leaders and hiring managers to align hiring strategies with organizational growth objectives.
  • Perform executive and leadership recruiting activities, including sourcing, assessment, and talent engagement for key positions.
  • Manage and develop a team of Recruiters and Senior Recruiters, providing coaching, guidance, and ongoing professional development.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing recruiting team environment focused on accountability, innovation, and service excellence.
  • Balance recruiter workloads and hiring priorities to ensure efficient delivery across multiple business groups.
  • Monitor recruiting pipelines, hiring activity, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Consult with business leaders on talent market conditions, recruiting strategies, and hiring priorities.
  • Analyze recruiting data to improve operational effectiveness, hiring outcomes, and candidate experience.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources, business leaders, and Talent Acquisition leadership to support organizational growth initiatives.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that increase recruiting efficiency, hiring manager satisfaction, and overall recruiting effectiveness.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Business, Marketing, Communications, Human Resources or related majors)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • 1+ years of direct people leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing and coaching recruiters to improve performance and career growth.
  • Experience utilizing recruiting metrics and data to drive decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and stakeholder consulting skills.
  • Ability to balance individual recruiting responsibilities with team leadership responsibilities.

IDEALLY, YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE

  • Experience recruiting engineering, consulting, professional services, or AEC industry talent.
  • Experience supporting a decentralized, high-growth organization.
  • Knowledge of executive search methodologies and leadership talent assessment practices.
