Lakeview's Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for employee recruiting for Lakeview Village. Coordinates the full life cycle recruiting: recruiting, screening and recommending placement of employees.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcomes and directs internal and external visitors, providing accurate information or connecting employees with the appropriate HR team member, point of contact, or resource.
  • Generates and develops leads for current and future staffing needs.
  • Attends and represents Lakeview Village at internal and external recruiting events.
  • Coordinate with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting strategy for assigned positions and offers recommendations on candidates, including a weekly e-mail report to department managers regarding recruiting/new hire updates.
  • Coordinate and maintain the onboarding process including all communications with new hires as needed to ensure a seamless onboarding experience, including a point of contact and instructions from their new department.
  • Use appropriate pre-employment audit form to track and assure new hires are meeting benchmarks for post offer screenings for the following: drug screen, background checks, motor vehicle records check, Abuse & Neglect Registry, Social Security Number Verification, KDHE, DOT, KDADS, TB tests, health assessments and reference checks.
  • Responsible to ensure all new hires have provided the appropriate forms of identification for onboarding (I-9 documentation) within the required timeframe.
  • Input data/information into the HR database for new hires, others as assigned.
  • Alternates assisting with new hire orientation by: preparing all documentation/packets for new hire orientation, complete onboarding at beginning of orientation by collection of and copying I-9 documents and taking pictures for ID badges and “hiring over” new employees.
  • Conducts orientation with Benefits Coordinator
  • Conducts off-schedule one-on-one orientations as needed.
  • Manage candidate activity in the applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Conduct interviews with qualified candidates.
  • Confer with CHRO or HR Manager on wages as needed.
  • Assist the Benefits Coordinator in the maintenance of the employee referral and retention incentive program.
  • Manages coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.
  • Complete weekly activity report on employment activity for hiring manager(s) and/or weekly meetings to discuss recruitment status and open positions.
  • Ensure constant communication with hiring managers throughout the new hire process up to and including orientation.
  • Manage DOT training and drug testing program as needed for specifically assigned positions.
  • Monitors and tracks certifications and licenses for departments and communicate to department designee when due for renewal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or a SHRM Certification
  • At least one-year experience working in Human Resources or related field is required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to make people feel comfortable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral, when performing duties that require this need and with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and with all levels in the organization.
  • Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
  • Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
