The Recruiting & Operations Generalist supports TRG's ability to recruit, hire, onboard, and deploy employees across operating sites and contracts. The position is primarily responsible for recruiting coordination, candidate pipeline management, pre-employment and onboarding execution, and staffing-related operational support. The role also administers selected routine HR processes, including employee records, benefits coordination, employee changes, and offboarding, while escalating policy, compliance, employee-relations, compensation, and other matters requiring leadership judgment or approval.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Crosstrain on recruiting, onboarding, HR administration, benefits, timekeeping, and staffing-support processes; maintain current procedures and backup coverage.
  • Coordinate routine benefits and retirement plan administration, including enrollments, employee changes, provider and carrier communications, invoice review, and open enrollment support.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for routine employee questions regarding benefits, onboarding, timekeeping, and established company processes; escalate matters requiring management or compliance review.
  • Maintain confidential employee and recruiting records; support employee status changes, offboarding activities, and payroll-related system updates and documentation.
  • Maintain recruiting, staffing, onboarding, and workforce reporting; identify process improvements and support staffing readiness across contracts and operating locations.
  • Partner with Operations and hiring managers to support workforce planning, staffing priorities, mobilizations, open positions, training requirements, and candidate readiness.
  • Coordinate the full recruiting and onboarding process, including job postings, applicant tracking, candidate communications, interview scheduling, offer documentation, pre-employment requirements, I-9/E-Verify, training, and new-hire readiness.
  • Support sourcing efforts and maintain candidate pipelines using approved recruiting channels, referrals, and outreach methods for recurring and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Review and maintain employee timekeeping records for completeness, accuracy, approvals, and compliance with company requirements; coordinate corrections and supporting documentation as needed.
  • Assist with routine payroll administration by verifying timekeeping data, resolving discrepancies with employees and supervisors, supporting payroll-related recordkeeping, and coordinating with Finance and Operations to ensure timely submission of approved labor records.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent organization, communication, urgency, follow-through, and ability to recognize issues that require escalation.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to maintain accurate records involving employee timekeeping, payroll-related data, and personnel documentation.
  • Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills and comfort maintaining accurate trackers, reports, and status information.
  • Experience maintaining confidential employee or candidate information and coordinating work across multiple managers, departments, or locations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple open requisitions, candidate pipelines, hiring-manager communications, and onboarding activities through completion.
  • At least three years of progressively responsible experience in recruiting, staffing coordination, operations support, HR administration, or a combination of these areas.
  • Associate degree in business administration, human resources, management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Deltek Talent, an applicant-tracking system, or another HR information system.
  • Experience recruiting for a government contractor, aviation, maintenance, technical, professional-services, or geographically dispersed workforce.
  • Experience supporting operating sites, contract staffing requirements, SCA-covered employees, or union-represented employees.
  • Working familiarity with I-9, E-Verify, benefits enrollment, employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and routine HR administration.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or comparable recruiting and sourcing platforms.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing, timekeeping administration, labor reporting, or payroll systems in a multi-site environment.
  • SHRM-CP, PHR, AIRS, or recruiting-focused professional development is helpful but not required.
