About the Position
Flatirons FlexCare for Seniors is seeking a Human Resources & Recruiting Coordinator to join our growing home care team. This is a hands-on role that combines caregiver recruitment, employee onboarding, HR administration, employee support, and compliance.
The HR & Recruiting Coordinator will help build and maintain a strong caregiver workforce by managing the recruiting process from initial candidate contact through onboarding. This position will also support employees throughout their time with the agency by coordinating training, maintaining personnel records, assisting with employee questions, and supporting HR and compliance processes.
The ideal candidate is organized, personable, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Because this role works closely with caregivers, applicants, clients, and management, strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Recruiting & Talent Acquisition
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for caregivers and office staff, from job posting through onboarding.
- Develop and implement creative strategies to attract qualified caregivers in a competitive hiring market.
- Post and maintain job advertisements across job boards, social media, the company careers page, and other recruitment platforms.
- Review applications and resumes and identify candidates who meet position requirements.
- Conduct phone screenings and interviews and evaluate candidates based on qualifications, experience, communication skills, and organizational needs.
- Coordinate reference checks, background checks, employment verification, and other pre-employment requirements.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate and facilitate new-hire onboarding and ensure required employment documentation is completed.
- Represent Flatirons FlexCare at job fairs, career events, community events, and other recruiting opportunities.
- Partner with management to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment plans.
- Track recruiting activity, hiring metrics, and candidate pipelines and identify opportunities to improve recruitment and retention.
Human Resources & Employee Support
- Maintain accurate and organized personnel files and employee records.
- Assist employees with HR-related questions and provide timely, professional support.
- Monitor HR email and communication platforms and respond to employee and applicant inquiries.
- Coordinate employee orientation, training, evaluations, and ongoing development.
- Coordinate required EVV/Sandata training and assist caregivers with understanding documentation and system requirements.
- Track employee training, certifications, documentation, and other employment requirements.
- Process and track employee leave requests and other personnel documentation.
- Assist with employee relations matters and escalate concerns to management when appropriate.
- Assist with HR reporting, data entry, and maintaining accurate information in HR and payroll systems.
- Help develop and maintain employee communications, recruiting materials, job descriptions, and careers-page content.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, applicant, and company information.
HR Compliance & Home Care Support
- Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable federal and Colorado employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure required employee and caregiver documentation is completed, current, and properly maintained.
- Support compliance with caregiver onboarding, background checks, training, EVV requirements, and other employment requirements.
- Develop working knowledge of Colorado home care regulations, Medicaid waiver programs, caregiver qualifications, and applicable wage and employment requirements.
- Monitor changes to HR and home care requirements and communicate relevant updates to management.
- Assist management with maintaining consistent HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Support internal audits and compliance reviews as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally with applicants, employees, caregivers, clients, and management.
- Comfortable conducting phone screenings and interviews.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information professionally.
- Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and online systems.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to completing tasks.
Preferred
- Previous experience in human resources, recruiting, talent acquisition, healthcare administration, home care, or a related field.
- Experience with full-cycle recruiting or high-volume caregiver recruitment.
- Experience working with healthcare or home care employees.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, applicant tracking, or onboarding systems.
- Experience with SanData or similar healthcare technology.
- Familiarity with Colorado employment requirements and home care regulations.
- Knowledge of Medicaid waiver programs and caregiver qualification requirements.
- Experience coordinating background checks, onboarding, training, or employee evaluations.
