WHY MFUSED. WHY THIS ROLE.
Founded in 2012, MFUSED is a self-funded, founder-led, minority-owned cannabis company and the home of Super Fog. We're a national brand that usually lands among the top three vapes in the states we enter, and we keep opening new markets. Our values: OWN IT. EARN IT. LOVE IT.
You'll be our first dedicated recruiter. You'll build the playbook, run your own searches, and sit on a small HR team that has your back. Today, that means filling roles well and fast. Next, it means a recruiting engine that keeps up as we grow. You can win over one skeptical candidate over coffee, then energize a room of 200 at a career fair.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
- - Full-cycle recruiting. Run searches from intake to signed offer, hourly through director level. Choose the sourcing strategy, decide who advances, recommend who we hire, and close offers within approved ranges.
- Advising leaders. Define what great looks like for each role, push back with market data, and coach structured interviews.
- The MFUSED story. Represent us at career fairs, schools, trade shows, and on LinkedIn. Write postings people want to read.
- Day 1 and year one. Lead a welcoming new-hire orientation, build training content with the HR Generalist, and check in through the first year to catch concerns early.
- Culture and results. Help lead engagement activities, own your recruiting metrics, and hire fairly and legally.
THE HONEST PART
Cannabis still carries stigma, so you'll answer tough questions with facts, not hype. You're a team of one in recruiting, often juggling many roles across states. Some processes don't exist yet. You'll build them.
WHAT YOU BRING
- - 3+ years of full-cycle recruiting, in-house or agency, across hourly, professional, and management roles.
- Presence one-on-one and in front of a crowd. You're comfortable with cannabis and proud to talk about it.
- You plan your own week and follow through without reminders, and you know when to loop in the team.
Helpful, not required: cannabis or regulated-industry experience, multistate or high-volume recruiting, Spanish.
HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS
Time to fill, offer acceptance, quality of hire, candidate and orientation ratings, and first-year retention (shared with people leaders and the HR Business Partner).
WHAT YOU GET
Medical, dental, and vision, including a $0 employee-only HSA plan with a $500 company HSA contribution and fully paid employee-only medical after 3 years. Plus a $200 wellness account, company-paid $50,000 life and AD&D, and an Employee Assistance Program. Coverage starts the first of the month after 30 days.
THE WORK AND THE PROCESS
Onsite role with occasional evening or weekend events and rare travel. Site visits may involve exposure to cannabis products. Essential duties may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
Apply with your résumé; no cover letter needed. Finalists give a 60-second pitch for MFUSED to college seniors unsure about cannabis, plus a 5-minute new-hire welcome. We share prompts and scoring criteria in advance.
