Job Description

The Purpose of Your Role as a Recruiter

At Harris, recruiting is more than filling open positions. We’re looking for a Recruiter who enjoys finding great people, building relationships, solving tough talent challenges, and helping hiring leaders make great hiring decisions.

In this role, you’ll manage full-cycle recruiting across technical, specialized, professional, leadership, and difficult-to-fill positions. You’ll have the opportunity to go beyond traditional applicant flow by proactively sourcing passive talent, building pipelines for future needs, using market intelligence to guide recruiting strategies, and responsibly leveraging AI-enabled tools to make recruiting smarter and more effective.

If you’re a recruiter who likes the hunt as much as the hire, enjoys partnering with the business, and is always looking for a better way to find and engage talent, this could be a great next step.

What You'll Be Part Of

  • Own the recruiting process: Manage an active portfolio of openings and drive the recruiting process from intake through offer. You’ll partner with hiring leaders to understand the business need, define the right candidate profile, develop an effective recruiting approach, evaluate talent, and keep the process moving.
  • Find talent others may not find: Proactively identify and engage active and passive candidates through direct outreach, networking, referrals, professional organizations, social platforms, educational partnerships, and approved AI-enabled sourcing tools. You’ll focus especially on technical, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Build pipelines, not just applicant lists: Develop relationships with talent before a requisition opens. You’ll build and maintain pipelines for critical, recurring, specialized, and hard-to-fill positions while expanding Harris’ reach through professional networks, industry associations, schools, community partnerships, career fairs, and emerging sourcing channels.
  • Use technology and AI to recruit smarter: Use approved AI-enabled recruiting tools to support sourcing, candidate engagement, market research, and communication while maintaining human judgment, protecting confidential information, and verifying outputs. You’ll also help identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, Workday Recruiting, reporting, data quality, and recruiting technology.
  • Become a trusted talent partner: You’ll use labor-market information, recruiting data, candidate feedback, and knowledge of talent availability to help hiring leaders understand the market, evaluate sourcing options, and make informed recruiting decisions.
  • Help tell the Harris story: Partner with Recruiting, Marketing + Communications, and Human Capital to strengthen the way Harris communicates its culture, employee experience, career opportunities, and employee value proposition to prospective talent. You’ll support targeted recruiting campaigns and help bring candidate and market feedback back into our recruiting approach.

What You Bring

  • 4+ years of progressive recruiting experience, including full-cycle recruiting for technical, specialized, professional, or difficult-to-fill roles.
  • 4+ years of experience with recruiting technology, including applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and candidate databases.
  • 3+ years of experience proactively sourcing and engaging passive talent through direct outreach, professional networks, social platforms, referrals, resume databases, and other sourcing approaches.
  • 2+ years of experience building talent pipelines for recurring, specialized, or difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Strong consultative and relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across organizational levels.
  • Experience using recruiting data and labor-market information to guide sourcing strategies and advise hiring leaders.
  • The ability to manage a high volume of requisitions and competing priorities while providing consistent communication and follow-through.
  • Comfort using AI-enabled recruiting tools responsibly while maintaining human judgment in candidate evaluation.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
