POSITION SUMMARY
Under general supervision from the Recruiting Manager, the Recruiter is an integral part of NVIH's overall recruiting and retention strategy. The Recruiter is responsible for managing open positions and supporting hiring managers with interviewing candidates, screening applicants and ensuring NVIH is living up to our commitment to honor Native Preference in hiring.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manage assigned open requisitions to ensure HR metrics are met, including but not limited to time-to-fill, time-to-start.
- Develop quick rapport with candidates representing NVIH in a positive and honest manner.
- Screen applicants for minimum qualifications regarding open positions; recommend other positions applicant may be qualified for; coordinate interviews based on Hiring Manager input.
- Review and recommend compensation offer and communicate employment offers to selected candidate; timely and appropriately communicate to candidates not selected as well.
- Support HR team with onboarding tasks, efforts, and communication with new hires with enthusiasm.
- Effectively and efficiently communicate and collaborate with HR Generalists and hiring managers on the status of open positions and applicants.
- Support Human Resources department with retention campaigns and other projects and events, as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- One (1) year experience in a recruiting role.
- Ability to think critically and identify problems, escalating to HR leadership with solution-based discussion.
- Coaching skills and the ability to teach and train supervisors in proper interviewing techniques.
- General knowledge of healthcare clinical operations such as outpatient medical, dental, and behavioral health.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Ability to organize oneself in a manner to efficiently and effectively complete assigned tasks on-time.
- Ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and supportive behavior.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Reliable transportation and regular attendance is required.
