Position Summary

The Recruiter is responsible for leading full-cycle recruitment efforts for clinical and non-clinical positions across the health system. This role partners closely with hiring leaders to identify staffing needs, proactively source and engage qualified talent, and deliver a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience. The ideal candidate brings strong recruiting and talent acquisition experience, preferably within a hospital or healthcare environment, and demonstrates strong interviewing, relationship-building, sourcing, and offer management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned clinical and non-clinical positions across the health system.
  • Review applications, screen candidates, and conduct structured interviews to assess qualifications, experience, and organizational alignment.
  • Present highly qualified, vetted candidates to hiring managers with clear recommendations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview scheduling, ensuring a seamless experience for candidates and leaders.
  • Lead offer discussions, extend offers, and negotiate within established guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Candidate Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively source candidates through job boards, professional networking platforms, social media, referrals, educational partnerships, community resources, and direct outreach.
  • Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for high-volume, recurring, specialized, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Identify and develop creative sourcing strategies based on position requirements, candidate availability, and market conditions.
  • Develop relationships with colleges, universities, technical programs, professional organizations, and other community partners.
  • Attend and represent the organization at career fairs, hiring events, virtual recruitment events, and community outreach efforts.
  • Engage passive candidates and develop talent communities for future workforce needs.

Hiring Manager Partnership

  • Serve as a strategic recruitment partner to hiring leaders, developing an understanding of departmental operations, workforce needs, and position-specific requirements.
  • Conduct recruitment intake discussions to establish candidate profiles, recruitment strategies, priorities, and expectations.
  • Provide guidance on market trends, candidate availability, sourcing strategies, and recruitment challenges.
  • Coach hiring managers on interview best practices and effective candidate selection.
  • Maintain regular communication with hiring leaders regarding candidate pipelines, requisition activity, and recruitment progress.
  • Ensure alignment on candidate expectations, timelines, and hiring outcomes.
  • Identify recruitment barriers and partner with hiring leaders and Human Resources leadership to develop appropriate solutions.

Recruitment Operations & Process Improvement

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and workflow within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and other applicable HR systems.
  • Actively manage assigned requisitions, including requisition aging, candidate activity, hiring manager follow-up, and appropriate closure.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulatory and hiring standards.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, requisition aging, candidate pipeline activity, candidate quality, and offer acceptance rates, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support initiatives to enhance recruitment processes, candidate experience, hiring manager experience, and employer branding.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Compensation, HRIS, Onboarding, Employee Health, and other Human Resources partners to support an efficient hiring process.
  • Participate in Talent Acquisition projects, recruitment campaigns, and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of recruiting and/or talent acquisition experience.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, and offer management.
  • Demonstrated experience proactively sourcing candidates and developing talent pipelines.
  • Experience managing multiple requisitions and hiring manager relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or similar recruitment technology.
  • Strong communication, interviewing, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Recruiting or talent acquisition experience within a hospital, health system, or healthcare environment.

Preferred

  • Experience recruiting both clinical and non-clinical positions.
  • Experience recruiting high-volume, specialized, or difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Familiarity with healthcare workforce trends and hiring practices.
  • Experience with creative sourcing and pipeline development strategies.
