Be the first connection to a career at Synergy Bank.

Are you someone who enjoys meeting new people, building relationships, and making others feel welcome? Are you equally comfortable starting a conversation at a college career fair, speaking with a hiring manager, and helping a new employee feel confident on their first day?

Synergy Bank is looking for an outgoing, polished, and people-focused Recruiter to help us find great talent and create an exceptional experience from first introduction through onboarding.

We're looking for someone who brings energy and professionalism to every interaction, communicates confidently, stays organized, and genuinely enjoys connecting people with opportunities.

What You'll Do

Be an ambassador for Synergy Bank.

You'll represent Synergy Bank at career fairs, networking events, community activities, and other recruiting opportunities throughout our markets. You'll help tell our story, build relationships with potential candidates, and strengthen our reputation as an Employer of Choice.

Find and connect with great people.

You'll develop creative recruiting strategies, source candidates, review applications, conduct interviews, and build talent pipelines for current and future opportunities.

Partner with our leaders.

You'll work directly with managers across the Bank to understand what they need, help develop effective job postings and interview strategies, and guide them through a thoughtful and consistent hiring process.

Create a candidate experience people remember.

From the first conversation through the offer, you'll keep candidates informed, welcomed, and excited about the possibility of joining Synergy Bank. You'll coordinate interviews, employment offers, pre-employment requirements, and other steps in the hiring process.

Help new employees start strong.

You'll partner with our Trainer and HR team to coordinate onboarding, orientation, introductions, schedules, and follow-up so new employees have an organized and welcoming start.

Bring new ideas to recruiting.

We don't want someone who simply posts a job and waits for applications. You'll be encouraged to identify new recruiting opportunities, build relationships with colleges and community organizations, evaluate what's working, and suggest better ways to reach great candidates.

Be part of a collaborative HR team.

You'll work closely with other HR professionals to create a responsive, professional employee experience. You'll share information, communicate proactively, cross-train, and provide support in other HR functions when needed.

You May Be a Great Fit If You...

  • Genuinely enjoy meeting and talking with new people
  • Are confident introducing yourself and starting conversations
  • Have a professional, polished presence while still being warm and approachable
  • Enjoy networking, relationship-building, and representing an organization in the community
  • Communicate clearly and comfortably in person, by phone, in writing, and in front of groups
  • Are energetic, positive, curious, and willing to take initiative
  • Can make people feel comfortable while still asking thoughtful questions
  • Are organized enough to keep multiple candidates, interviews, deadlines, and hiring managers moving forward
  • Follow through when you say you're going to do something
  • Enjoy finding creative solutions rather than relying on "the way we've always done it"
  • Want to learn more about HR, recruiting, talent management, and the employee experience
  • Can handle confidential information with maturity and discretion

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Previous professional recruiting experience is preferred, but not necessarily required for the right candidate
  • Experience gained through internships, college organizations, career services, campus recruiting, customer service, banking, sales, hospitality, marketing, or community involvement may be especially valuable
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential, AIRS certification, or similar professional credential is a plus

What Will Help You Stand Out

We're especially interested in candidates who can demonstrate that they're natural relationship-builders. Maybe you were a campus organization leader, orientation leader, student ambassador, recruiter, intern, banker, salesperson, volunteer, or the person everyone counted on to bring people together.

Your title doesn't matter nearly as much as your ability to connect with people, communicate professionally, take initiative, and represent Synergy Bank well.

The Role Beyond the Office

Recruiting happens where the people are, so this isn't a position that's always behind a desk. You'll have opportunities to represent Synergy Bank at career fairs, colleges, networking opportunities, and community events throughout Pointe Coupee Parish, Greater Baton Rouge, Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish, and surrounding markets.

A reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to recruiting and community events are required.

Why This Role Matters

Every employee's experience with Synergy Bank starts somewhere, and very often, it starts with the Recruiter.

You'll have the opportunity to shape that first impression, introduce talented people to careers they may not have considered, help managers build stronger teams, and make sure new hires begin their careers feeling welcomed and prepared.

If you're energized by people, naturally build connections wherever you go, and want to turn those strengths into a career in Human Resources, we'd like to meet you.

Synergy Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
