MPS Group is seeking a driven, organized, and relationship‑focused Recruiter to join our team at headquarters in Farmington Hills, MI. In this role, you’ll support high‑volume hourly and labor hiring across multiple locations, helping us bring in the talent that keeps our operations running strong. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, excels at juggling multiple requisitions, and partners closely with hiring managers to deliver great candidates quickly and consistently.

You’ll lead full‑cycle recruiting for hourly roles — sourcing talent, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and ensuring a smooth onboarding handoff. You’ll also support new‑business launches, job fairs, and recruitment events while championing a fast‑moving, people‑focused hiring experience that aligns with company policies and complies with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Recruitment

  • Manage full‑cycle recruiting for hourly and labor roles across multiple sites, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, role requirements, and workforce priorities.
  • Source candidates proactively through job boards, resume databases, social media, referrals, and local community outreach.
  • Contribute to process improvements that enhance speed‑to‑hire, candidate experience, and recruiter efficiency.

Job Fair and Event Coordination

  • Lead the organization and execution of job fairs, recruitment events, and hiring drives, including scheduling, staffing, logistics, and post-event follow-up.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of recruitment materials such as displays, swag, and informational brochures.
  • Track event success and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing reports on recruitment metrics and outcomes.

Onboarding & Pre-Employment Support

  • Communicate onboarding requirements clearly to candidates and provide support throughout the process to reduce delays and improve completion rates.
  • Partner closely with HR, Safety, and site leadership to deliver a smooth, organized onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Track onboarding progress, identify potential delays, and proactively resolve issues to ensure timely start dates.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies related to recruitment, hiring, and onboarding.

Technology and Systems Management

  • Maintain clean, organized, and compliant candidate records within all recruiting systems.
  • Leverage recruiting technology (ATS, HRIS, sourcing platforms, scheduling tools) to streamline processes and improve recruiter productivity.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize system usage, automation, and recruiter workflows.

Collaboration & Reporting

  • Partner closely with hiring managers and site leadership to understand staffing needs, align priorities, and ensure timely communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Provide regular updates on recruiting activity, pipeline health, and hiring progress to HR leadership and operational stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university (HR or related major preferred).
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, specifically supporting hourly, labor, or high‑volume roles in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with multi‑state recruiting or industries such as manufacturing, operations, or construction is preferred.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple requisitions and shifting priorities without losing momentum.
  • Proficient in using ATS platforms, HR systems, and modern recruiting technologies.
  • Ability to travel to new‑business launches, job fairs, and recruitment events as required.
