Position Overview

The Entry-Level Recruiter helps connect candidates with career opportunities at ESI's client companies. Working closely with the recruiting team, this person will communicate with applicants, review applications, conduct initial candidate conversations, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate candidate information throughout the hiring process.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to build a career in recruiting, talent acquisition, or human resources. ESI provides training in recruiting processes, sourcing techniques, applicant tracking systems, and candidate management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and connect with potential candidates through job postings, referrals, community outreach, and other recruiting channels.
  • Review applications and resumes against position requirements.
  • Conduct initial candidate screening conversations.
  • Coordinate interviews and communicate next steps with candidates and hiring teams.
  • Create and maintain job postings across recruiting platforms.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and documentation.
  • Assist candidates with onboarding and employment-related paperwork.
  • Represent ESI at career fairs, community events, and recruiting activities as needed.
  • Provide responsive and professional service to candidates and client companies.
  • Support recruiting projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Applicant tracking system (ATS) usage.
  • Recruiting workflows and hiring processes.
  • Effective candidate and client communication strategies.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of professional workplace behavior.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Familiarity with common business software and technology.
  • Awareness of social media and online communication tools.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

ESI Will Provide Training

  • Recruiting terminology and talent acquisition fundamentals.
  • Employment and onboarding processes.
  • Position-specific requirements for ESI's client companies.
  • Industry best practices for candidate evaluation and placement.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in customer service, sales, administrative support, retail, hospitality, banking, healthcare, or another people-focused role is a plus, but not required.
