Summary
MaineHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced Physician and APP Recruiter to join our Provider Recruitment team and support recruitment across MaineHealth’s Coastal Region, including Brunswick, Damariscotta, Rockport, Belfast, and surrounding communities.
This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of physician and advanced practice provider searches while partnering closely with clinical and operational leaders across the region. The Recruiter serves as a strategic partner throughout the full recruitment lifecycle, from developing search strategies and sourcing candidates through interviews, candidate engagement, and offer acceptance.
Responsibilities include
- Phone screening candidates
- Maintaining accurate candidate records and recruitment metrics
- Ensuring timely updates within the applicant tracking system
- Coordinating interviews and logistics for candidate site visits
- Keeping candidates informed throughout the recruitment process
- Posting and maintaining job postings internally and on external job boards
- Timely financial reconciliation related to recruitment activities
- Travel as needed for recruitment events, career fairs, and other outreach opportunities
In addition to managing individual searches, the Recruiter will contribute to broader recruitment initiatives and projects supporting the MaineHealth Medical Group and Provider Recruitment Center. This is an opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and helping shape creative recruitment strategies in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
The position is benefit eligible and currently based in our Westbrook, Maine office. This is a hybrid role and is not open to fully remote candidates. Regular travel throughout the Coastal Region will be part of the role, providing the opportunity to build strong relationships with leaders, care teams, and communities across the region.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- License/Certifications: Certification in physician recruitment preferred.
- Experience: Five years of combined recruitment, Human Resource or other relevant business experience required. Healthcare experience preferred.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Database management systems and applicant tracking skills.
- Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient MS Office Suite skills

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $77,147.20 to $104,353.60 per year.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
