Operations Junior Recruiter & Onboarding Coordinator

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Junior Recruiter & Onboarding Coordinator to support the hiring of Production Operators, Process Operators, Maintenance Technicians, and other hourly manufacturing roles across our operations.

This role is responsible for managing recruitment activities from sourcing through onboarding while ensuring an exceptional candidate and new hire experience. In addition, the position coordinates our bi-weekly two-day new hire orientation program, partnering with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Support full-cycle recruitment for hourly manufacturing and technical positions.
  • Source candidates through job boards, employee referrals, social media, community organizations, workforce agencies, and technical schools.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings and assess qualifications against job requirements.
  • Coordinate interviews, plant visits, assessments, and hiring activities.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and recruitment activity
  • May participate in job fairs, hiring events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Partner closely with Plant HR Generalists, and Technical Coordinators to understand workforce needs and staffing priorities.
  • Deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

Onboarding & Orientation Coordination

  • Coordinate all logistics for the company's bi-weekly two-day new hire orientation program.
  • Schedule orientation sessions and manage participation of internal presenters and subject matter experts.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for orientation speakers, ensuring presentations, materials, and schedules are finalized in advance.
  • Coordinate training rooms, virtual meeting links, catering, supplies, and orientation materials as needed.
  • Manage new hire communications and orientation attendance records.
  • Gather participant feedback and recommend improvements to the onboarding experience.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor key recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, interview-to-hire ratio, and 90-day retention.
  • Assist with special Talent Acquisition and HR projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Min 1 year of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR for manufacturing, or industrial, logistics.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and business leaders.
  • Is proactive, organized, and detail oriented.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
